Pīwakawaka have been writing informative texts. Matilda, Nahteka and Gaddiel shared their fabulous writing today. Read below to learn about our kura!
Nahteka - Hi, have you been to Te Pākii o Maru? It is the best school in the world because there is over 100 kids in the school. It is so fun. I love this school, I have made some awesome friends. The playground and the flying fox are so fun!
Gaddiel -Have you heard of a school that is called Te Pākihi o Maru? It is a school in NZ and I’m going to tell you their values, classes and what playground they have. Their values are Honesty, Respect, Kindness and Resilience. If you know what they mean, go to the next full stop. Honesty means you are telling the truth. Respect is kind of like kindness - for example, if you open the door for someone that’s being respectful. Now we will go to Kindness, we all know that kindness is being kind. The final value is Resilience, resilience is basically not giving up.
Matilda -Have you visited Te Pākihi o Maru’s website? This has all of our values, class names and the playground information. Our school values are Kindness, Resilience, Honesty and Respect. Kindness is for being nice to others. Resilience is for never giving up and keep on trying. Respect is for not breaking school equipment and being kind to others. Honesty is for always telling the truth. The classes are Kororā, Tūi, Pīwakawaka, Kererū, Ruru and Toroa.
