There is absolutely no need to spend a fortune or create a Pinterest masterpiece. Raid the dress-up box, borrow something, or get creative with whatever you already have at home.

🎉 Happy Birthday to our fabulous Anne Campbell! 🎉

Our incredible SENCO has swapped Parklands for her other tribe down south today, with a birthday celebration that finishes off with a bit of Jordan Luck tonight. Not a bad way to spend your birthday!

📸 People of Motueka Photography Competition

Here is a great opportunity for our Parklands School tamariki and whānau to get creative behind the camera!

The People of Motueka Portrait Photography Competition is open to photographers of all ages and experience levels who live within the Motueka Ward. Students can enter too, with a parent or guardian completing the entry form on their behalf.

Photos can be individual or group portraits and could celebrate local families, businesses, cultural communities, tangata whenua, community groups, active lifestyles and more.

🏆 There are some fantastic prizes, including a $500 People’s Choice Award, photography packages and Love Motueka vouchers.

This week we’ve welcomed Constable Hamish to Parklands School for some Police Education sessions. 🚔👮

He’s been teaching our tamariki about staying safe and making good choices… but let’s be honest… no matter how hard he tries, all they really want is for him to turn on the lights and sirens! 😂🚨

A huge thanks to Constable Hamish for giving up his time to work with our students. We really appreciate the positive relationships our local Police build with our kids. 💙

🚨 Public Service Announcement… the germs are winning today. 🤧🤢

We’ve got 27 students away sick! While we’re usually the ones banging on about attendance 😜, this is one time we’re more than happy for kids to stay home.

At the moment we’ve got vomiting bugs, runny noses, and a few confirmed cases of strep throat doing the rounds. Sharing is caring… except when it comes to germs. 😂

If your child is feeling crook, please keep them home until they’re well again. We’ll save their seat, and the rest of us will be very grateful!

Thanks for helping keep Parklands School a little less… germy. ❤️
