St Joseph's School, Timaru State Integrated Catholic School Yr1-8 It is our intention to:
Provide situations which focus on Christian Values.

As a member of St Joseph's School family, each child will work at his or her particular stage of development and mature educationally, socially and spiritually from that stage in an environment based on Christian Values and Catholic tradition. Provide opportunity for successful achievement in all curriculum areas regardless of ability. Develop leadership, initiative and reliability through valuable broad educational experiences. Develop and foster interaction between the school and the community.

🎵CONCERT - TODAY🎵
We are fortunate to have Drew Lane working with our classes and choir today. Drew is a songwriter, accomplished musician, producer and classroom teacher. He has produced music for Butterfly House which is where many of our religious songs come from.

The classes and choir will perform together in a concert that starts at 1.30pm in our school hall. All welcome.

This afternoon our Kapa Haka group visited the residents at Elloughton Gardens and performed for them. The residents were delighted with the performance.
On Friday afternoon this week our Kapa Haka group will be at Arowhenua Marae participating in the FLAVA Festival.

Last Wednesday seven of our students travelled to St Kevin’s College in Oamaru for the Term 3 Timaru/Oamaru Regional Chess Tournament. Over 150 students were playing at this tournament. Our students played seven games each with some great results especially for the four students for whom this was their first tournament. Congratulations to them all 🙌🏼

📖🤗 BOOK CHARACTER DRESS UP DAY 🤗📖
Our school was buzzing with excitement today for our Book Character Dress Up Day!
It was fantastic to see such creativity from both students and staff. Our catwalk parade was a huge hit, filled with big smiles, brilliant costumes, and plenty of applause. We were especially delighted to welcome so many parents and grandparents into our space to share stories and celebrate reading together.
