Tēnā koutou,

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for such a joyful Matariki celebration last night!

From children smiling ear to ear, to parents catching up and sharing a good yarn over warm cups of soup—it was a truly great evening. Thank you for bringing so much spirit to our school community.

SOUTH ISLAND SCHOOLS ROAD CHAMPS
Piper, Oakley and Koby to raced at South Island Schools Road Champs on the 4th-5th July.
It was a great two days of cycling for them with some awesome results and a lot of experience gained.

Individual Time Trial:
U13 girls- Piper placed 2nd
U13 boys- Koby 5th and Oakley 8th

Team Time Trial:
U13 Piper, Koby and Oakley placed 2nd
Excellent team work shown in this race.

Individual Road Race, 10km:
U13 girls - Piper 1st!
Brilliant race by Piper with an awesome sprint at the end to take first place.
U13boys - Koby 4th, Oakley 5th.
Both boys raced well and weren’t far behind the placing riders. Oakley had a huge sprint up his sleeve that saw him move up into 5th.

Mānawatia a Matariki

As we look ahead to celebrate Matariki and Puaka, we take a moment to remember and honour those who have passed, celebrate the present, and look forward with hope to the future. These celestial markers remind us of the importance of reflection, gratitude, and new beginnings as we journey forward together.

Don’t forget our school Lantern Walk on the first Thursday back. It’s the perfect opportunity to reconnect as a school community and celebrate the beginning of the new term together.
