๐Ÿ€ Congratulations to our OVH Thunder Year 7/8 basketball team on winning their last game of the season on Monday. I am super proud of everything they have achieved this season. They have improved every game, especially in their teamwork and passing. Thank you to all the whฤnau and supporters who came along to cheer the team on. What a fantastic way to finish the season! Our end-of-season celebration will be Friday lunchtime next week! ๐Ÿ€

What to expect from the evening
1. Some Year 9 students will talk about their experiences at Timaru Boysโ€™ so far this year.
2. Our Head Boy will speak about the opportunities and challenges he has had over his time at TBHS.
3. Our Year 9 Deans will explain how learning works at TBHS and how Year 9 students are supported.
4. We will also talk about the sports you can get involved in, the cultural activities we offer, the clubs you can join, Year 9 Camps and much, much more

This week at assembly, Moana shared about their exciting trip to the rocky shore rock pools where they explored and discovered some of the amazing creatures living there. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿฆ€โญ๏ธ

They proudly showed us their beautiful rock pool artwork, which included fantastic clay starfish they created themselves, and also performed a song for everyone to enjoy.

This week is a great reminder for all of us to talk with our tamariki about staying safe on and around our roads.

A few simple habits can make a big difference:
โœ… Stop, look both ways, and listen before crossing
โœ… Use pedestrian crossings when available
โœ… Always wear a helmet when riding bikes or scooters
โœ… Stay alert and avoid distractions near roads

Road safety starts with everyday conversations at home and safe choices each time we head out. Letโ€™s work together to help keep our children safe. ๐Ÿ’›
