Congratulations to our boys for your behaviour - in the lead up to the ball, on the night and on Saturday morning packing away the ball. It was great to see you all dressed up and having a fantastic time!
We appreciate all of the support from parents for ensuring the boys and their partners turned up ready for a great ball! To our community of onlookers who make the walk in special and those who drove/pushed and pulled the outstanding vehicles the boys arrived in!
Finally thanks to TBHS staff for giving up their Friday night.

Shout out to our fabulous Art teacher Miss McKillop who created a very large sculpture of Zeus for the Ancient Greece Ball on Friday night! Well done to Miss McKillop and the Art boys who painted these fantastic banners for the Ancient Greece Ball on Friday night.

On Tuesday, our Year 10 Drama students visited the South Canterbury Drama League as part of their course exploring all aspects of dramatic production. They were given a full backstage pass to learn about set design, technical construction, costume selection, and stage makeup!

The students gained so much from the comprehensive tour and Q&A session. A huge thank you to the South Canterbury Drama League for hosting such an inspiring trip!

Today our Year 13 AgSci class went up to Twizel to one of the Mt Cook Salmon Farms to learn about the Management Practices carried out to meet the requirements for US export market.
A massive thank you to Mt Cook Salmon for hosting us and also Mr Austin for driving one of the vans.

The Canterbury Provincial Championships were held over the weekend of 12–13th September at the Timaru Clay Target Club, with a number of our TBHS students competing and representing our school with pride.

Congratulations to Jacob Burgess (Year 13), who placed 3rd in the A Grade Double Rise event with a score of 26/30. Stirling Heffernan (Year 11) also took 3rd place in the B Grade Double Rise event with 25/30.In the Handicap by Distance event, Stirling placed 1st overall to take out the Canterbury Provincial Championship and Junior Champion titles with 25/25 (plus 20/20 in the shoot-off). Jacob claimed 3rd place with 25/25 following a shoot-off of his own.Harvey Metcalf (Year 9) and Edward White (Year 10) also had a fantastic weekend, shooting well against some very experienced competition.

Great shooting boys, and good luck for the South Islands and National Championships in Christchurch at the end of September.

Voting day is getting closer, and we’re excited to introduce the four students putting themselves forward for the role of Student Board Representative.
