To our Wai-iti Road neighbours, we're carrying out important maintenance work to help keep the local power network safe and reliable.
Starting Monday 6 July, you'll see our Overhead Lines team working along Wai-iti Road between Broadway Avenue and Hillsden Place, completing essential maintenance on the network over the following two weeks.

Regular maintenance helps us identify and address potential issues before they become faults, improving network reliability and helping reduce the risk of unexpected outages for our community.
What to expect:
📍 Where: Wai-iti Road between Broadway Avenue and Hillsden Place
📅 When: From Monday 6 July, with works continuing over the following two weeks.
🚧 Traffic management: To keep our crews and the public safe, Wai-iti Road will be reduced to a single lane, with Stop/Go traffic management in place on Wai-iti Road, Glenwood Avenue, Broadway Avenue, Morgans Road and Barnes Street. Delays are expected, particularly during peak travel times, so please allow extra travel time and consider alternative routes where possible.
⚡ Planned outages: Some planned outages will be required to safely complete this work. Affected customers will receive direct notification with details of timing and duration. If you're unsure whether your contact details are up to date, please check with your electricity retailer (the company you pay your power bill to).

We'll work as efficiently as possible to minimise disruption and restore power as soon as it's safe to do so. Occasionally, planned outages may take longer than expected due to additional safety checks and testing requirements.
