📚 Junior High Learning Resource Center Successfully Conducts Reading Literacy Program and Library Orientation 📚

The Junior High Learning Resource Center (LRC) successfully conducted its Reading Literacy Program today, July 28, 2026, entitled "Beyond the Screen: Cracking the Gen Z Reading Code," for Grade 7 and Grade 8 learners. The program aimed to help students rediscover the joy of reading and develop practical strategies to become smarter, more mindful, and more engaged readers in today's digital age.

The session focused on the importance of reading, proper highlighting techniques, and effective note-taking strategies, as well as essential skills to improve comprehension, retention, and critical thinking when engaging with both print and digital resources.

The Learning Resource Center extends its sincere appreciation to our guest speaker, Ma'am Easter Wahayna-Pablo, for generously sharing her knowledge, expertise, and practical insights. Her engaging and informative presentation inspired students to develop meaningful reading habits and apply effective study techniques in their daily learning.

The program was further honored by the presence of our Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs, Ma'am Lorna E. Lucas, who graciously joined the awarding ceremony and presented the Certificate of Appreciation and a token of gratitude to our guest speaker in recognition of her invaluable contribution to the program's success.

In addition, the Learning Resource Center successfully conducted the Library Orientation for Grade 9 and Grade 10 learners through a classroom-based video presentation. This initiative introduced students to the library's facilities, collections, electronic resources, services, and policies, ensuring they were well informed about how to make the most of the resources and services available throughout the academic year.

The successful implementation of these activities reflects the Learning Resource Center's continued commitment to promoting reading literacy, information literacy, and lifelong learning while supporting students in becoming independent, critical, and responsible users of information.
The Learning Resource Center extends its heartfelt gratitude to the school administration, faculty members, and students for their unwavering support and active participation, which contributed to the success of today's activities.

The Junior High Learning Resource Center (LRC) successfully conducted its Information Literacy Program today, July 21, 2026, entitled "Maximizing the Use of LRC Electronic Resources." This activity aimed to provide learners with valuable knowledge and practical skills in effectively accessing and utilizing the LRC's electronic resources to support their academic learning and research.

The Learning Resource Center extends its sincere appreciation to our guest speaker, Mr. Keilh Allen B. Biares, for generously sharing his expertise and insights. His engaging presentation provided students with a deeper understanding of the LRC’s electronic resources and inspired them to become responsible, information-literate learners.

The program was further honored by the presence of our Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs, Ma'am Lorna E.
