𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘!
(LATE UPDATE) An earthquake struck Baguio City yesterday at 2:35 PM, while classes were ongoing.

Students and teachers of SLES quickly did duck, cover, and hold, then moved to the evacuation area.

After conducting thorough checks and declaring the situation normal, teachers contacted parents and guardians to inform them of the incident and request that they fetch their children. All students were safely picked up by their families, after which administrative personnel and teachers also headed home.

No new cracks or damage were found in school buildings.

𝗦𝗣𝗧𝗔 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳

SLES conducted its School PTA (SPTA) Induction of Officers and Turnover Ceremony for SY 2026-2027 on June 26, 2026.

The ceremony featured the induction of all officers, including the newly elected SPTA board, Homeroom PTA (HRPTA) officers from every grade level, and leaders of key school clubs and organizations.

All inductees took their oaths of office led by San Luis Barangay Kagawad Josephine Digma.

The student organizations represented were the Supreme Elementary Learners Government (SELG), Barkada Kontra Droga, Youth for Environment in Schools-Organization (YES-O), Peer Mediators, Journalism Club, and Sports Club.

With all leaders now officially in place, SLES is poised to launch a productive school year focused on promoting student development, and strengthening connections between the school and its surrounding community.

𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹

SLES held the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 18, 2026, joining schools across the country in practicing emergency preparedness procedures.

The activity was conducted with assistance from school administrators, barangay personnel, and members of the local community, ensuring smooth and safe ex*****on of the drill procedures.

Students, teachers, and staff participated in the synchronized exercise, practicing proper safety protocols including drop, cover, and hold, followed by orderly evacuation to designated assembly areas.

District VI shines at Divisionwide Best Performing SPTA Awards, SLES Among Top Honorees

SLES was recognized as one of the division's Best Performing School PTAs (SPTAs) for School Year 2025-2026.

The awards ceremony was held at City Hall on Monday, June 15, 2026, with City Mayor Benjamin Magalong and Schools Division Superintendent Soraya Facullo presenting the honors.

SLES joined other top-performing schools from the district and division in receiving the distinction for their outstanding SPTA programs. SLES SPTA President Heidee R. Caramto and School Head Genar P. Tacay accepted the award on behalf of the school community.

Best Performing SPTA awardees were presented with plaques of recognition for their PTA presidents, while school heads received certificates acknowledging their partnership for strong parent-school collaboration.

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗣𝗧𝗔 General Assembly and 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

SLES conducted its First SPTA general assembly and Orientation for the current school year on June 11, bringing together parents and community for important discussions on key matters.

Highlights of the assembly included the SPTA President's accomplishment report, presentation of the financial report, and detailed briefings on school policies, the three-term school calendar, assessment procedures, grading system, and awards criteria.

Following the general assembly, parents proceeded to their children's respective classrooms for homeroom meetings, where they were updated on class-specific matters and participated in the election of new sets of Homeroom PTA (HRPTA) officers.
