🌿 KATUTUBONG SUOT WEDNESDAY 🌿

October 14, 2026

In observance of the 29th Indigenous Peoples Month and the Commemoration of the Indigenous Peoples’ Rights Act (IPRA), the personnel of the Office of the Election Officer – Balud, Masbate once again wear their Katutubong Suot this second Wednesday as a symbol of respect, appreciation, and solidarity with our Indigenous Peoples.

May this continuing observance remind us of the importance of preserving our rich cultural heritage, honoring our traditions, and upholding the rights, dignity, and identity of Indigenous Peoples. 💚

PAGPUPUGAY SA ATING MGA NAKATATANDANG PILIPINO! 👵👴🇵🇭

Sa pagtatapos ng Elderly Filipino Week 2026, ang Office of the Election Officer – Balud, Masbate ay nakikiisa sa pagbibigay-pugay at pagkilala sa ating mga nakatatandang Pilipino na patuloy na nagbibigay ng karunungan, inspirasyon, at mahalagang ambag sa pamilya, komunidad, at bayan.

Ngayong taon, ating isinasabuhay ang tema:

“Nakatatandang Pilipino: May Halaga at Karapatan, May Boses at Ambag sa Bayan.”

Ang kanilang mga karanasan, kaalaman, at patuloy na pakikilahok sa lipunan ay mahalagang bahagi ng pagbuo ng isang mas inklusibo at makataong pamayanan.

NOTICE OF HALF-DAY OFFICE OPERATION

In support of Proclamation No. 60, s. 2026, declaring September 28, 2026 as a special occasion, the Office of the Election Officer (OEO), Balud, Masbate shall observe half-day office operations on Monday.

Office transactions and public services shall be available during the morning session only. Regular office operations shall resume on the next working day.

IN THE MATTER OF THE CESSATION OF ALL ACTIVITIES RELATED TO THE NOVEMBER 2, 2026 BARANGAY AND SANGUNIANG KABATAAN ELECTIONS BY VIRTUE OF REPUBLIC ACT NO. 12326

1. All activities relating to the conduct of the November 2, 2026 BSKE, except as herein provided, be stopped and discontinued, including the scheduled filing of the certificates of candidacy and the ensuing campaign period.

2. The prohibitions on certain acts related to the conduct of the 2026 BSKE, as provided under the election calendar and applicable laws, rules, and regulations, will be lifted.

3. The ongoing printing of additional ballots, accountable forms, Election Day Computerized Voters List (EDCVL), and Posted Computerized Voters List (PCVL) will continue until the required quantities have been completed.

4. All pending procurement of forms and supplies for the 2026 BSKE will be completed, including their delivery, subject to the measures to be undertaken pursuant to the Minute Resolution referred to in MEMORANDUM NO. 261210 (Ref. No. 0836-26) of the Office of the Secretary to the Commission.

5. All forms, supplies, and other election paraphernalia already printed or procured for the 2026 BSKE will be properly secured, stored, and preserved for future use.
