21 May 2026 || Fire Safety Inspections in Gasoline Stations

IN PHOTOS || Balud Fire Station personnel conducted inspection and continuous monitoring of gasoline stations and various retail facilities within area of responsibility to ensure strict compliance with applicable fire safety and hazardous materials standards, particularly in all fuel storage areas. The activity focused on verifying the presence and serviceability of fire protection equipment, proper storage and handling of flammable substances, clear emergency exits, and adherence to prescribed safety protocols. Establishment owners and staff were also reminded of their responsibilities in maintaining a fire-safe environment and were given guidance on preventive measures to minimize fire risks. Furthermore, this initiative aims to maintain situational awareness by continuously monitoring the peace and order situation and ensuring public safety, especially in relation to the ongoing oil price increases, which may pose potential risks and concerns within the community.

Ang Republic Act 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000) at R.A. 9514 (Revised Fire Code of the Philippines of 2008) ay sama-samang nagbabawal sa "open burning" o pagsisiga ng anumang uri ng solid waste, kabilang ang mga tuyong dahon, sanga, at plastik.

Ang sinumang mahuli ay maaaring pagmultahin (₱300 hanggang ₱1,000 o higit pa depende sa lokal na ordinansa) o makulong ng isa (1) hanggang labinlimang (15) araw, o pareho.

Para sa kaligtasan ating buhay at mga pinag hirapang pananim, mas babuting iwasan, na monang mag sunog ng inyong mga basura, o mag sindi ng kahit ano man malapit sa mga tuyong dahon, damo sa inyong palibot, iwasan ring mag tapun ng mga upos ng sigarilyo kong saan-saan,
