TINGNAN | Binisita ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos ang Kapitbahayan Elementary School sa Navotas City ngayong Martes, Hunyo 2, 2026 upang saksihan ang implementasyon ng Tara, Basa! Program kasabay ng pagbubukas ng Brigada Eskwela 2026.

Kasama si DSWD Secretary REX Gatchalian at Dir. Elma Salamat, kinamusta ng Pangulo ang mga benepisyaryo ng programa na dumadalo sa tutoring at parenting sessions sa nasabing paaralan.

Sa pamamagitan ng programa, natutulungan ang mga mag-aaral na mapahusay ang kanilang literacy skills habang nabibigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga kabataan na makapaglingkod sa kanilang komunidad bilang tutor at Youth Development Worker (YDW).

Ang Tara, Basa! Program ay isang Cash-for-Work initiative ng DSWD na naglalayong magbigay ng tulong pinansyal sa mga kabataan edad 18-30, habang binibigyan din sila ng oportunidiad na maging bahagi sa nation building activities ng pamahalaan.

LOOK | DSWD FO-NCR Participates in DILG-NCR 2nd Quarter Tangguyob meeting

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office โ€“ National Capital Region (DSWD FO-NCR) participated in the DILG-NCR 2nd Quarter Tangguyob: Convergence of DRRM Thematic Pillars held today, June 2, at Ciaraโ€™s Events Place in Mandaluyong City.

During the activity, DSWD FO-NCR presented its Disaster Response Operations during recent major fire incidents in Metro Manila, highlighting the agencyโ€™s humanitarian assistance and coordination efforts for affected families. The Field Office also shared the resolution creating the Camp Safety Audit Technical Working Group (TWG) to strengthen the safety, protection, and welfare of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in evacuation centers.

The Tangguyob served as a platform for government agencies and local government units to exchange DRRM best practices and strengthen inter-agency collaboration toward more resilient communities.

LOOK | 4Ps Parent-Beneficiaries Actively Participate in Brigada Eskwela 2026

Demonstrating their commitment to their children's education, 45 parents who are beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) actively participated in the Brigada Eskwela conducted at Emilio Aguinaldo Integrated School, today (June 2).

The activity highlighted how vital parents are in building a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for learners. Working as a team, the 4Ps parents volunteered their time to clean classrooms, the school quadrangle, and the preparation of vital school supplies for the upcoming school year.

Their active participation reflects the values of responsibility, community involvement, and support for education that are continuously promoted through the program. Beyond providing assistance to families, the program also encourages beneficiaries to become active partners in activities that contribute to the welfare and development of their children.

The activity was conducted with the support and guidance of Principal Hovem Tenero and Guidance Counselor Annalyn Rosalejos, whose efforts helped ensure its success.

Through Brigada Eskwela, these 4Ps beneficiaries once again demonstrated that education is a shared responsibility. Their willingness to volunteer their time and effort serves as an inspiring example of how families and schools can work together to provide learners with a better environment for learning and growth.

TINGNAN | Personal na binisita ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., ang mga naapektuhan ng sunog na nasa NBBS Multi-Purpose Building ng Navotas City ngayong Martes (June 2).

Kasama ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., si DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian at Navotas City Mayor John Rey Tiangco, DSWD Undersecretary Diana Rose Cajipe at Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao.

Namahagi rin ang Pangulo kasama si Secretary Gatchalian ng family food packs (FFPs) at hygiene kits para sa 44 pamilyang apektado. Nakapagbigay na rin ang DSWD ng financial assistance.

Ito ang tugon ng gobyerno, alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., na tiyakin ang bawat pamilya ay nasa maayos na kalagayan sa gitna ng kinakaharap na trahedya.

TINGNAN | Sa patuloy na paghahatid ng tulong pinansyal para sa mga apektadong tsuper bunsod ng hindi inaasahang pagtaas ng presyo ng petrolyo, nagsagawa ng additional Cash Relief Assistance (CRA) sa Caloocan Sports Complex ngayong araw (June 2) para sa mga tsuper ng jeepney o miyembro ng Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association (JODA) na hindi pa naaabot ng tulong.

Sa kasalukuyan (as of 12:03pm), nasa 70 jeepney drivers at operators na ang nakatanggap ng P5,000 cash assistance.

Ngayong araw sa Caloocan, mga jeepney draybers ang nakaschedule, habang bukas (June 3) nakaschedule ang mga traysikel draybers.

UPDATE | Sa Quezon City, tuloy-tuloy ang pamamahagi ng Cash Relief Assistance (CRA) para sa mga trisikel drayber ngayong araw (June 2) sa QCX Event Center, Memorial Circle.

Inaasahang 8,000 traysikel draybers ang makakatanggap ng kanilang P5,000 tulong-pinasyal mula sa pamahalaan.

As of 11:00am nasa 313 na ang nakatanggap ng kanilang tulong pinansyal.

Sa tulong ng lokal na pamahaalan at iba pang ahensya nanatiling maayos at mabilis ang daloy ng pamamahagi ng tulong pinansyal para sa mga benepisyaryo.

Ngayong araw nakatakda ang payout para sa traysikel draybers sa Quezon City habang bukas (June 3) ang schedule ng jeepney draybers.

Sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., kasama ang DSWD, sa programa na nagpapakita ng agarang pagtugon ng pamahalaan sa pangangailangan ng mga apektadong mamamayan.

TINGNAN | Nakatanggap ng libreng medical at dental check-up ang nasa 100 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries sa ginanap na medical mission sa Cuneta Astrodome Pasay City nitong Linggo (May 31).

Inorganisa ng Philippine Chinese Charitable Association Inc., Embassy of the Peopleโ€™s Republic of China in the Philippines, at ng Filipino-Chinese General Chamber of Commerce Inc., ang medical and dental outreach mission para sa mga residente ng Pasay city kung saan kabilang ang mga 4Ps beneficiaries.

Nakatanggap rin sila ng libreng bigas mula sa nasabing private partners ng programa.

Sa pakikipagtulungan ng Kagawaran sa iba't ibang ahensya ng gobyerno at pribadong sektor, mas pinagtitibay ang layunin ng programa na maiangat ang antas ng pamumuhay ng bawat pamilyang Pilipino.

LOOK | DSWD FO-NCR Launches 5th Batch of Cash-for-Training and Work under Project LAWA at BINHI in Valenzuela City

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office โ€“ National Capital Region (DSWD FO-NCR), through its Risk Resiliency Program on Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (RRP-CCAM), officially launched the fifth batch of the Cash-for-Training and Work (CFTW) Program under Project LAWA at BINHI in Valenzuela City on June 1, 2026, benefiting 1,080 partner-beneficiaries.

Implemented in partnership with the Valenzuela City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (VCDRRMO), City Agriculture Office, and Waste Management Division, the activity provided participants with training on disaster preparedness and response, basic first aid, urban agriculture, food sustainability, and proper waste management.

The initiative aims to enhance community resilience, strengthen environmental responsibility, and equip beneficiaries with practical skills that support climate change adaptation and mitigation efforts.

Through Project LAWA at BINHI, DSWD FO-NCR continues to promote resilient, self-reliant, and climate-adaptive communities while providing opportunities for social protection and community empowerment.

TINGNAN | Binisita ni DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian ang mga benepisyaryo ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) sa Quezon City nitong Lunes (June 1).

Kinamusta ni Sec. Rex ang mga 4Ps beneficiaries kasama sina Usec. Denise Florence B. Bragas at Asec. Irene Dumlao, na nakiisa sa Brigada Eskwela 2026 sa Bagong Silangan High School Annex - General Licerio Integrated High School.

Anya ni Sec. Rex, maituturing ang brigada eskwela na patuloy na dedikasyon ng mga miyembro't magulang na tumulong na mabigyan ng maayos na silid aralan ang kanilang mga anak. Sa pamamagitan ng pagtutulungan ng mga 4Ps beneficiaries at pagiging aktibo sa kanilang komunidad, makikita ang bayanihan bilang sukli at pasasalamat sa ibinibigay na suporta ng pamahalaan.

Kabilang din sa mga dumalo at nagpahayag ng suporta ay ang mga kinatawan ng local na pamahalaan ng Quezon City at pribadong organisasyon gaya ng Insular Foundation na nagbigay ng libreng Cleaning Materials.

Nakatakda ang Brigada Eskwela mula June 1-5, 2026 bilang paghahanda sa darating na pasukan.
