The DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT ANTIQUE FIELD OFFICE, in partnership with the LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT OF HAMTIC, led by our municipal mayor Hon. Julius Ronald L. Pacificador and vice mayor Hon. Julius Ll. Pacificador and the PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT SERVICE OFFICE of HAMTIC successfully conducted a PROJECT ANGEL TREE at the BARANGAY BONGBONGAN I-II, HAMTIC, ANTIQUE.
Child Labor Prevention and Elimination Program (CLPEP) aims for a child-labor-free Philippines. Several activities were undertaken towards this end, from profiling to referral to provisions of livelihood and other social services. One of which is the PROJECT ANGEL TREE—a program that aims to provide an array of social services, which includes medical consultation and distribution of food packs and school supplies that is made possible by the sponsors or benefactors, or "angels," to child laborers and their families.
Families of the beneficiaries also received assistance through the TUPAD payout, providing temporary financial relief to help meet daily needs and reduce the risk of child labor.
Beneficiaries were also provided with gift packs, snacks, and used clothing and availed of free medical check-ups and medicines, ensuring their health and well-being.
