PUBLIC ADVISORY | LIFTING OF EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 57, S. 2026

The Local Government Unit of Lianga informs the public that Executive Order No. 57, Series of 2026, temporarily modifying class schedules and implementing heat safety measures in all levels of education in the Municipality of Lianga, is hereby lifted effective August 25, 2026.

Accordingly, the temporary modification of class schedules shall no longer be in effect, and schools may resume their regular class schedules, subject to the prevailing conditions and appropriate heat safety measures.

All schools are still encouraged to continue observing necessary heat safety precautions, including adequate hydration, water breaks, and appropriate measures to protect the health and well-being of learners and school personnel.

Please be guided accordingly.

As part of the National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) celebration, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), in partnership with the Rural Health Unit (RHU) successfully conducted a Nutrition and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) in Emergencies Orientation in Barangay Ban-as. The activity aimed to strengthen community awareness and preparedness by promoting proper nutrition and safe water, sanitation, and hygiene practices before, during, and after emergencies.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Barangay Captain Hon. Pordel Sarceda for the support and to Ma’am Jessa Sarmen for facilitating the orientation. We likewise thank all the participants and parents for taking the time to attend and actively participate in this meaningful activity. 💦

🌊 Simultaneous Coastal Clean-Up and SCUBA BASURA 2026 🌊

As part of the observance of National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) 2026, the Local Government Unit of Lianga, headed by Hon. Amado M. Layno Jr., together with Vice Mayor Hon. Francis Ferdinand G. Layno, and the Sangguniang Bayan Members, successfully conducted the Simultaneous Coastal Clean-Up and SCUBA BASURA.

Our sincere appreciation to all volunteers, partner agencies, barangay officials, divers, and community members who generously dedicated their time and effort to make this activity a success.

Together, let us continue to protect our oceans, preserve our natural resources, and build a safer, cleaner, and more resilient Lianga.

These activities showcased the knowledge, creativity, and commitment of our participants in promoting disaster preparedness, resilience, and safety within our communities.
