The Local Government Unit of Lianga, under the leadership of the Municipal Mayor Hon. Amado M. Layno, Jr., together with Vice Mayor Hon. Francis Ferdinand G. Layno and all Hon. Sangguniang Bayan Members, successfully conducted a Contingency Planning Workshop focused on preparedness and response for tropical cyclones.

With the active participation of MDRRMC members and partner agencies, the activity strengthened coordination, early preparedness measures, and response strategies to minimize risks and protect communities during severe weather events.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the PDRRMO Office, headed by Acting PDRRMO Mr. Lot M. Garrido, and the Head of Training, Ms.Nieves De Castro, for their valuable support, guidance, and expertise in making this activity successful.🫡

Suspension of face-to-face classes, at all levels (both in public and private schools) is extended today, March 10, 2026 until further notice due to continuous moderate to heavy rains brought by trough of Low Pressure Area (LPA) and convergence of wind based on the issued advisory by the DOST-PAGASA today, March 10, 2026, 5am.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) successfully convened for its 1st Quarter Meeting, presided over by our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Amado M. Layno, Jr.

The meeting focused on strengthening coordination among member agencies, reveiwing and approving the WFP, and reinforcing strategic plans to further enhance the municipality’s disaster risk reduction and management initiatives.

The Council remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring a proactive, well-coordinated, and resilient community.
