Issued by the 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 — 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗮ñ𝗮𝗻𝗴 on September 16, 2026, this circular declares the suspension of work in all agencies and instrumentalities of the National Government — including government-owned and controlled corporations, state universities, and colleges — 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝟭:𝟬𝟬 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, in observance of the 𝟯𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 and “𝘒𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺𝘢 𝘔𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘢” Day.

This issuance is grounded on Proclamation No. 60 (s. 1992), which declared the last week of September every year as 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸, and Proclamation No. 326 (s. 2012), which declared the fourth Monday of September annually as “𝘒𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺𝘢 𝘔𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘢” Day — a special occasion dedicated to strengthening family bonds, quality time together, and reaffirming the Filipino family as the foundation of the nation.

The GSIS Touch mobile application has been enhanced to facilitate the convenient and efficient filing and processing of qualified Life and Retirement Claims without the need for members to personally visit GSIS offices. This initiative seeks to streamline the claims application process, promote paperless transactions, reduce processing time, and enhance the overall service experience of GSIS members.

Accordingly, all concerned employees are encouraged to:

𝟏. 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐒𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐦𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 for the online filing of qualified Life and Retirement Claims;
