🌡️𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲, ang pinakamalubhang uri at isang emergency na nangangailangan ng agarang atensyong medikal.

Kung makaramdam ng mga sintomas tulad ng pagsakit ng ulo, hilo, pagsusuka, pagod, panghihina, pagkalito, o pagkawala ng malay, huwag itong ipagwalang bahala. Agad na pumunta sa pinakamalapit na ospital o health center.

Ingatan ang sarili kontra init! Stay hydrated, gumamit ng panangga sa araw kapag lalabas, at magpahinga kung kailangan.

Strengthening Newborn Health Care in the Philippines! 🇵🇭👶

We are honored to welcome Dr. Soloman Chandrasegarar, Health Specialist from the UNICEF Center of Excellence in Bangkok, to the Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital! 🏥

Dr. Soloman was warmly received by Medical Center Chief II, Dr. Salvador B. Evardone, MPH, MHA, CESE alongside the hospital’s Executive Committee—Dr. Estrella O. Jusi, Chief of Medical Professional Staff II, Dr. Melissa M. Juico, OIC - Allied Health Professional Service, Ms. Lourdes C. Mendoza, Chief Administrative Officer, Ms. Alma Mina S. Enrile, Financial and Management Officer II and Ms. Ma. Nancy C. Guia, Nurse VII —as well as Dr. Mary Anne Ilao, the Training Officer of the Department of Newborn Medicine.

During the visit, teams from the Department of Health - Bureau of International Health Cooperation (DOH - BIHC) and UNICEF engaged in a productive dialogue regarding the hospital’s current service delivery, gaining vital insights into the "Fabella experience" of maternal and newborn care. This visit is essential for understanding the local context of newborn health service delivery as we move forward.

UNICEF Philippines is proud to continue its technical support to the Department of Health (DOH) in developing the Newborn Health Strategy 2026–2030. Dr. Chandrasegarar will be sharing global perspectives and technical expertise during the DOH strategy development workshop this week to ensure every Filipino child has the best start in life. 💙

Ayon sa PAGASA, maaaring umabot sa 38°C ang heat index ngayong araw, na maaaring magdulot ng heat exhaustion at heat stroke kapag napabayaan.

Mag-ingat lalo na ang mga bata, matatanda, buntis, at may iniindang karamdaman.
