Our humble start

Derived form the Cuyonon words “ara” and “pilak” which collectively translates to “no waste”.

It all started when we joined the Rurungan Sunday Market last year. Back then, We only sold bamboo straws, a few metal straw and bamboo toothbrushes. but we get inspired to do more, to make it easier for everyone to lessen our carbon footprint for Mother Earth and also to make the future better for the next generation.

In the past, getting eco-friendly and zero-waste tools wasn’t easy, which is another reason we began AraPilak. we wanted to make it more convenient for Palawenos to start their own zero-waste kit by visiting one store. Today, we have everything from wooden cutlery to menstrual cups.

AraPilak has also been a way to promote consciousness about reducing our impact on the environment. That apart from using eco-friendly products, there are many other practical things we can do to help Mother Earth, such as water conservation, organic farming and choosing local products.
