THANK YOU FOR MAKING THE 2026 MIMAROPA RSTW POSSIBLE!

Mula sa sabay-sabay na selebrasyon sa Romblon, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, at Palawan, naging posible ang 2026 MIMAROPA Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week dahil sa sama-samang suporta, pakikiisa, at ambag ng ating mga partner institutions, exhibitors, media partners, local government units, academe, industry partners, resource persons, volunteers, participants, at iba pang katuwang sa buong rehiyon.

Sa bawat probinsya, iba-iba man ang tema, venue, at mga aktibidad, iisa ang naging layunin, ang mailapit ang science, technology, and innovation sa mas maraming komunidad at maipakita ang mga solusyon at oportunidad na makatutulong sa pag-unlad ng MIMAROPA.

Taos-puso ang aming pasasalamat sa lahat ng tumulong sa pagbuo, paghahanda, pagsasagawa, pagbabahagi, pag-uulat, at pagsuporta sa 2026 RSTW. Sa bawat indibidwal, organisasyon, institusyon, at komunidad na naglaan ng oras, kaalaman, resources, at iba’t ibang uri ng suporta, ang inyong ambag ay naging mahalaga sa tagumpay ng selebrasyong ito.

Ang 2026 RSTW ay patunay sa kung ano ang kayang mabuo sa sama-samang pagkilos at pakikiisa para sa buong rehiyon. Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat!

DOST Secretary Dr. Renato Solidum Jr. said Kalayaan town is the lone municipality in the MIMAROPA region not yet reached by its scholarship program, and he eyes extending it to students who will be entering college.
Solidum said during the opening of the Regional Science and Technology Week (RSTW) celebration that the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) scholarship program has already covered 72 out of 73 towns in the region. | via Rachel Ganancial

Tinatayang 50 kalahok mula sa iba’t ibang lokal na pamahalaan at tanggapan ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Palawan ang lumalahok sa Technology Forum on Smart Community Development for Local Government Units in Palawan na ginaganap ngayon, Agosto 19 sa Hue Hotel, Puerto Princesa City.

Pinangungunahan ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Palawan ang forum bilang bahagi ng 2026 MIMAROPA Regional Science, Technology and Innovation Week (RSTW), na dinaluhan ng mga kinatawan mula sa Dumaran, Aborlan, Narra, Brooke’s Point, Bataraza, Quezon at Balabac. Dumalo rin si Board Member Ryan D. Maminta bilang kinatawan ni Governor Amy Roa Alvarez.

Tampok sa forum ang mga talakayan hinggil sa digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), data integration, cybersecurity at data privacy. Binigyang-diin na hindi layunin ng AI na palitan ang mga kawani ng pamahalaan, kundi magsilbing dagdag na kaalaman at kasangkapan upang gawing mas episyente at sistematiko ang mga proseso sa mga LGU.

Ayon kay DOST-Palawan Provincial Director Engr. Pacifico T. Sariego III, mahalaga ang pagkakaroon ng malinaw na roadmap upang matukoy ng bawat LGU ang kanilang mga layunin at prayoridad na proyekto tungo sa smart at sustainable community. Sa pamamagitan nito, layong matulungan ang mga LGU na mas mahusay at ligtas na magamit ang teknolohiya para sa pagpapabuti ng serbisyo publiko. | via VPR, Radyo Pilipinas Palawan

PANOORIN I Ibinahagi ni DOST-Palawan Provincial Director Engr. Pacifico T. Sariego III, na tinutulungan umano nila sa Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Palawan ang mga lokal na pamahalaan sa pagbuo ng roadmap para sa Smart at Sustainable Community, kabilang ang pagtukoy sa mga layunin, aktibidad at priority projects na maaaring ipatupad sa kani-kanilang LGU.

Aniya, mahalaga ang suporta ng mga LGU upang maging matagumpay ang digital transformation. Nagsimula na rin daw ang DOST sa pagtulong sa mga pilot municipality nito na nagsimula sa Science, Technology and Innovation planning, kabilang ang Dumaran, Narra, Brooke’s Point, Aborlan, Bataraza at Quezon.

Bilang susunod na hakbang, isusulong din ang online system para sa issuance ng auxiliary invoice at certificate of origin na makatutulong sa mga shipper at iba pang kumukuha ng kaukulang permit.
