WATCH: PLTCOL DAVE ANTHONY R CAPURCOS, Station Commander, led the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony and Project C.A.R.T.

The event was graced by Barangay Gulod Chairperson Rey Aldrin S. Tolentino, represented by Kagawad Sherill "Che-che" S. Acle, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, held at the Novaliches Police Station 4 (PS4) Headquarters, Barangay Nova Proper, Novaliches, Quezon City, on August 3, 2026 (Monday) at around 7:30 AM.

During the ceremony, Certificates of Commendation were awarded to deserving PS4 personnel in recognition of their exemplary performance, unwavering dedication, and significant contributions to the station's operational accomplishments.

Concurrently, PLTCOL DAVE ANTHONY R CAPURCOS, together with the Guest of Honor and Speaker, conducted the awarding of Project C.A.R.T. (Community Assistance for Reintegration and Transformation), a community-oriented policing initiative to support reformed offenders, probationers, and individuals at risk of recidivism. The program addresses root causes of repeat offenses like unemployment, social stigma, and lack of livelihood opportunities through structured interventions and strengthened police-community collaboration.

As part of the implementation of Project C.A.R.T., the second qualified beneficiary, received a livelihood assistance package to support his reintegration into society and encourage a productive and law-abiding lifestyle.

Through this initiative, PS4 aims to reduce recidivism, enhance public safety, and successfully reintegrate and transform reformed individuals through responsive police-led community assistance.

QCPD PRESS STATEMENT
Re: Defamatory Allegations Against QCPD Personnel
July 30, 2026

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) strongly condemns the spread of false and misleading information being circulated in various Facebook groups by a certain individual concerning alleged defamatory accusations against QCPD personnel.

Based on the investigation conducted and the affidavits executed by the victim and the concerned personnel, the allegations of r**e, drinking within the office, and cover-up were found to be unsubstantiated and without factual basis. It was further established that no complaint for r**e was filed against the concerned personnel. The claims were determined to be without merit, and there was no sufficient basis for the filing of any administrative or criminal charges. The matter was subsequently archived by the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM).

The QCPD warns the public that any person who deliberately shares, reposts, or further disseminates false and defamatory information may be subject to appropriate legal action under existing laws.

The QCPD remains committed to protecting the integrity of its personnel and will continue to pursue appropriate legal remedies against individuals who use social media platforms to spread false information that damages the reputation of persons and institutions. # # #

Under the supervision of PLTCOL DAVE ANTHONY R CAPURCOS, Station Commander, SCADS personnel led by PLT MARVIN C ALONZO, Chief, SCADS, conducted a Community Engagement Activity on July 27, 2026, at around 1:00 PM onwards, along Langka Street, Barangay Capri, Novaliches, Quezon City.

The activity featured a short lecture on Anti-Bullying Awareness for parents and encourage them to actively promote a safe and supportive environment for children. Followed by the distribution of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials, a feeding program serving hot lugaw, and the distribution of food packs to more or less 50 constituents.

The activity was conducted in coordination and partnership with Chairperson Christian A. Cando, Kagawad Aida Plojo, force multipliers TF-ACSAF, and other stakeholders. It aimed to strengthen police-community relations, raise awareness on anti-bullying and crime prevention, and reaffirm the PNP's commitment to community service and public safety through collaborative community-based initiatives.
