The Commission on Higher Education โ National Capital Region (CHED NCR), in partnership with Quezon City University (QCU), successfully kicked-off the 2026 ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ก ๐ ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ต ๐ข๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ป๐ถ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ฒ 1๐๐ ๐ก๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ก ๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐๐ฒ: ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ด๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ก ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ-๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ด๐ต ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป on 3 August 2026 at the Quezon City University Auditorium.
The flagship initiative brought together 200 participants composed of NCR International Relations Officers, Quality Assurance Heads, CHED NCR staff, and higher education stakeholders to deepen understanding of ASEAN beyond cultural appreciation and highlight its role in higher education, regional cooperation, and national development.
Through substantive sessions, the dialogue explored key themes on ASEAN identity and PhilippineโASEAN relations, strengthening academic networks and teacher education in the digital era, and advancing institutional capacities through ASEAN quality assurance and a culture of excellence.
The dialogue featured insightful discussions from ๐๐๐๐. ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ณ. ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฎ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ป ๐. ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐, Program Chair of the Masters in ASEAN studies at the University of the Philippines Open University; ๐๐๐๐ผ๐ฐ. ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ณ. ๐๐ผ๐ต๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐น๐ผ ๐ . ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐บ๐ผ๐, Executive Director of the Association of Southeast Asian Teacher Education Network (AsTEN); and ๐๐ฟ. ๐ช๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ ๐. ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ต๐๐ด, Special Advisor to the AUN Executive Director on Quality Assurance and Trainer and Lead Assessor of ASEAN University NetworkโQuality Assurance (AUN-QA). The program also highlighted a message from ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ก๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ผ๐ฟ-๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฟ, Director IV and Director-in-Charge of the CHED International Affairs Service.
