𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗 𝗡𝗖𝗥 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗡𝗖𝗥𝗶𝗽𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗮 🇵🇭🇲🇾

The Commission on Higher Education - National Capital Region (CHED NCR), together with the NCR Engagement for Regional and International Partnership and Ties (eNCRipt), fostered stronger partnership with the Embassy of Malaysia through a courtesy meeting last 28 June 2026 in Makati, Philippines.

We are more than honored to discuss and explore potential areas for collaboration in advancing higher education internationalization with the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Philippines, 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗼’ 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗸 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻𝘆. The meeting was also joined by 𝗧𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗼 𝗞𝗼𝗲𝗻𝗴, First Secretary of the Embassy Of Malaysia- Philippines, and 𝗡𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮 𝗣𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶 𝗡𝗮𝗮𝗶𝗺 𝗬𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗱, Counsellor.

The CHED NCR team was led by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗣. 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗶𝗻, Chief Education Program Specialist, and the NCR International Relations Officers delegation was led by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮, President of eNCRipt and IRO of FEU-NRMF.

The courtesy meeting reflects CHED NCR’s continuing efforts to expand its international network and establish meaningful collaborations that support globally engaged higher education institutions.

Together, CHED NCR and eNCRipt is committed to continue building strategic partnerships, fostering regional linkages, and pursuing initiatives that create greater opportunities for internationalization among NCR higher education institutions. 🇲🇾🇵🇭🤝

𝗡𝗖𝗥 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗮𝘀-𝗞𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝘂𝗸𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

The NCR Engagement for Regional and International Partnership and Ties (eNCRipt), in partnership with CHED-NCR, successfully conducted "𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗮𝘀-𝗞𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝘂𝗸𝗮𝘀: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗖𝗥 𝗜𝗥𝗢𝘀 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀" on 26 June 2026 at the Justo Alberto Auditorium, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.

The pioneering conference brought together International Relations Officers and higher education stakeholders from across the National Capital Region to promote sustainable and impact-driven internationalization aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The event featured valuable insights and perspectives from 𝗗𝗿. 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿-𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗿 of the CHED International Affairs Service; 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝘂𝗺𝗶 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀 of CHED Office of Planning, Research and Knowledge Management; 𝗠𝘀. 𝗥𝗲𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗰𝗮 𝗟. 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆 of DEPDev and Philippine Rural Reconstruction Movement; 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗩. 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗹 𝗗𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗼𝘀 of Global Compact Network Philippines and PLDT Inc.; 𝗗𝗿. 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗗. 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗼 of Ateneo Institute of Sustainability and SDSN Philippines; 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗕𝗿𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗖. 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘂𝘁𝗮 of Philippine Normal University; 𝗗𝗿. 𝗚𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗼 𝗠. 𝗩𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗼 of the University of the Philippines; 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗱 𝗚. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘇 of the University of Santo Tomas; and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗼 𝗣. 𝗕𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮 𝗝𝗿. of Quezon City University.

Through knowledge exchange and collaboration, participating institutions explored strategies to strengthen global partnerships, enhance internationalization initiatives, and advance more inclusive and sustainability-oriented higher education in the NCR.

CHED NCR recognizes the commitment of NCR higher education institutions in shaping a more globally engaged and sustainable future for Philippine higher education. 🌏🤝✨

𝗲𝗡𝗖𝗥𝗶𝗽𝘁 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗖𝗥

The 𝗡𝗖𝗥 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗶𝗲𝘀 (𝗲𝗡𝗖𝗥𝗶𝗽𝘁) convened its monthly meeting on 28 July 2026 at National University Philippines – 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮, joined by the CHED NCR team, to reflect on recent initiatives, discuss organizational matters, and align future directions toward strengthening internationalization efforts among NCR higher education institutions.

The meeting provided a platform for members to review key updates, including the outcomes of previous activities, financial matters, and organizational priorities. Discussions also centered on strengthening the foundation of eNCRipt, identifying strategic next steps for internationalization, and setting shared goals to further support collaboration among NCR higher education institutions.

Guiding the group’s vision, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿-𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗿, Director IV of the CHED International Affairs Service, shared valuable insights and recommendations on advancing internationalization efforts, strengthening partnerships, and maximizing opportunities for meaningful global engagement.

CHED NCR continues to encourage eNCRipt and its member institutions to foster stronger collaboration, build meaningful partnerships, and pursue sustainable initiatives that contribute to a more globally engaged higher education sector in the National Capital Region. ✨🌍

The Commission on Higher Education – National Capital Region (CHED NCR), in partnership with Quezon City University (QCU), successfully kicked-off the 2026 𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 1𝘀𝘁 𝗡𝗖𝗥 𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲: 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 on 3 August 2026 at the Quezon City University Auditorium.

The flagship initiative brought together 200 participants composed of NCR International Relations Officers, Quality Assurance Heads, CHED NCR staff, and higher education stakeholders to deepen understanding of ASEAN beyond cultural appreciation and highlight its role in higher education, regional cooperation, and national development.

Through substantive sessions, the dialogue explored key themes on ASEAN identity and Philippine–ASEAN relations, strengthening academic networks and teacher education in the digital era, and advancing institutional capacities through ASEAN quality assurance and a culture of excellence.

The dialogue featured insightful discussions from 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝘁. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗝𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗗. 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘇, Program Chair of the Masters in ASEAN studies at the University of the Philippines Open University; 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼 𝗠. 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘀, Executive Director of the Association of Southeast Asian Teacher Education Network (AsTEN); and 𝗗𝗿. 𝗪𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝗖. 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵𝘂𝗴, Special Advisor to the AUN Executive Director on Quality Assurance and Trainer and Lead Assessor of ASEAN University Network–Quality Assurance (AUN-QA). The program also highlighted a message from 𝗗𝗿. 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿-𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗿, Director IV and Director-in-Charge of the CHED International Affairs Service.

CHED NCR extends its sincere appreciation to QCU for hosting this year’s NCR ASEAN Kick-off and supporting efforts to foster meaningful conversations and stronger regional engagement among higher education stakeholders.

As ASEAN continues to shape opportunities for collaboration, mobility, quality assurance, and regional partnerships in higher education, CHED NCR remains committed to strengthening ASEAN awareness and building a more connected, future-ready National Capital Region. 🌏🤝✨
