The DOLE-NCR Quezon City Field Office is now accepting applications for the Government Internship Program (GIP)!

Applicants must be 18โ€“30 years old, preferably a College Graduate but Senior High School Graduates are encouraged to apply, and no prior work experience in the government.

Accepted applicants will be assigned to the Quezon City Field Office located at:

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: In line with Labor Secretary Francis N. Tolentino's commitment to empowering vulnerable sectors through sustainable livelihood opportunities and President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s agenda of improving the economic well-being of marginalized communities, the DOLE-NCR Quezon City Field Office, in partnership with the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP), awarded livelihood starter kits under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) to 306 beneficiaries on July 28, 30, and 31, 2026.

The initiative provided โ‚ฑ30,000-worth livelihood starter kits to 306 beneficiaries, including parents of child laborers, senior citizens, and displaced workers, equipping them with the tools to establish sustainable sources of income and improve their quality of life.

Here are some of the beneficiaries who shared their messages of gratitude for the assistance they received from DOLE.

In line with Labor Secretary Francis N. Tolentinoโ€™s commitment to empowering vulnerable sectors through sustainable livelihood opportunities, the DOLE-NCR Quezon City Field Office awarded livelihood starter packages under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) to 306 Quezon City residents on July 28, 30, and 31, 2026.

A joint initiative of the Department of Labor and Employment and the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP), the program also supports the national government agenda of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. by providing sustainable livelihood opportunities that help improve the economic well-being of marginalized sectors.

The beneficiaries, composed of parents of child laborers, senior citizens, and displaced workers, received one of the following DOLE Livelihood Starter Kits of their choice: Karinderya, Barbecue, and Tailoring Machinesโ€”each valued at P30,000.00. / By Carmela Marinda

Ipinaliwanag ni Atty. Sarah Buena Mirasol, Regional Director ng DOLE-NCR at Chairperson ng Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-NCR (RTWPB-NCR), na ang wage order ay dumaan sa lahat ng itinakdang konsultasyon at legal na proseso, kung saan narinig at isinasaalang-alang ang mga posisyon ng sektor ng manggagawa, namumuhunan, at pamahalaan.

Aniya, buong kumpiyansa ang Board na ang wage order ay nabuo alinsunod sa due process at sa mga umiiral na patakaran sa pagtatakda ng minimum na sahod.

According to the Labor Chief, the Departmentโ€”through the National Wages and Productivity Commission and the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boardโ€“NCR โ€”is coordinating with the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG), which will serve as legal counsel for the agencies in court proceedings.

Secretary Tolentino further clarified that workers who have already received their wage adjustments are not required to return the additional amount.

โ€œMeron nang vested right โ€˜yung manggagawa noโ€™n. Hindi na dapat isauli โ€˜yonโ€ฆ kasi at that time it was prepared, and at that time it was received, wala pang order โ€˜yung National Wages and Productivity Commission na suspended,โ€ Secretary Tolentino explained.

LOOK (JULY 28, 2026): In line with Labor Secretary Francis N. Tolentinoโ€™s commitment to empowering vulnerable and marginalized groups by providing them with the necessary tools for self-employment, the DOLE-NCR Quezon City Field Office awarded livelihood starter packages to 105 beneficiaries under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) at Bistekville โ€” Almanova Richland Drive, Covered Court, Quezon City, Metro Manila.

The Kabuhayan Package included starter kits for establishing barbecue businesses. Moreover, it aims to directly benefit individuals facing economic hardship, including parents of child laborers, senior citizens, and displaced workers. By doing so, the program establishes stable income sources, reflecting DOLE's commitment to inclusive economic empowerment and contributing to the community's overall economic resilience.

The awarding is a joint initiative of the DOLE-NCR Quezon City Field Office, spearheaded by Director Rowella V. Grande, and the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) led by Director Olympia DC. Micor, Chief of Operationsโ€“FOD NCR and Mr. Kreeger Bonagua as the area coordinator.
