BFP Santa Cruz Fire Station conducted a Skills Enhancement Activity on Severe Bleeding Control to strengthen the knowledge and practical skills of our personnel in providing immediate and appropriate first aid during emergencies.

Through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on practice, our personnel were equipped with essential techniques in controlling severe bleeding and preventing further blood loss while awaiting medical assistance.

BFP Santa Cruz Fire Station actively participated in the conduct of the Nationwide School Safety Drill at Santa Cruz National High School, featuring a Shooting Incident Simulation Activity aimed at strengthening the preparedness, awareness, and coordinated response of students, teaching personnel, and responders during emergency situations.

The activity provided an opportunity to practice proper emergency procedures, enhance coordination among concerned agencies, and promote a culture of preparedness, vigilance, and safety within the school community.

3RD QUARTER MDRRMC COUNCIL MEETING | SEPTEMBER 2, 2026

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) of Santa Cruz, Occidental Mindoro convened its 3rd Quarter Council Meeting to strengthen coordination and ensure a unified approach to disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.

Key discussions included the presentation of the Official Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) Report covering damages to crops, infrastructure, and housing, as well as the proposed declaration of a State of Calamity in the municipality.

On 02 September 2026 at approximately 0745H, personnel of BFP Santa Cruz Fire Station conducted a drainage flushing activity at Poblacion 1, Santa Cruz, Occidental Mindoro.

The activity was carried out to clear accumulated dirt, debris, and other obstructions causing the drainage to clog and to restore the proper flow of water, helping prevent possible water accumulation and localized flooding.
