As part of our commitment to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Santa Rosa, the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) continues its monthly clean-up drive across all barangays, together with our ever-dedicated Street Sweepers, Environmental Army, and Eco Warriors (Monitoring Team), in addition to their everyday cleaning duties.

For this monthโ€™s clean-up activity, held today, October 9, 2026, the team took action in Barangay Tagapo (near SM Santa Rosa), collecting a total of 20 sacks of waste composed of various discarded materials, including biodegradable waste, plastic laminates, and other residual waste commonly found in the area.

Every month, every barangay, and every effort counts. Together, let us continue working toward a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Santa Rosa City because a sustainable city starts with all of us!

The MOA Signing Ceremony for the delineation of the 3-meter legal easement along the stretch of the Santa Rosa River between the DENR Region 4A CALABARZON and the City Government of Santa Rosa was successfully held last September 29, 2026, at Santa Elena Golf Club, City of Santa Rosa.

The MOA was signed by DENR CALABARZON Regional Executive Director Henry A. Adornado, PhD; City Mayor Hon. Arlene B. Arcillas Santa Rosa Office of the City Mayor; DENR PENRO Laguna Mr. Venerando U. Garcia; CENRO Sta. Cruz Mr. Grace V. Malabanan; City Administrator Atty. Leonardo M. Ragaza; and City ENRO Engr. Maria Amor Salandanan, ENP.

Under the agreement, the project will cover the delineation of the 3-meter legal easement on both sides of the Santa Rosa River, covering an approximate total river stretch of 40 kilometers, measured from downstream to upstream. The initiative is guided by the Water Code of the Philippines and DENR Administrative Order No. 2021-07, providing a systematic and technically sound basis for identifying, validating, and documenting legal easements along waterways.

This initiative marks another significant step toward a more organized and environmentally responsible community, where development and environmental protection work hand in hand for the benefit of present and future generations.
