Yesterday, September 3, 2026, the Municipal Development Council (MDC) successfully convened for a strategic meeting at the Office of the Mayor, presided over by Mayor Atty. Jeremy Jesus DP. Bueno, III.

During the meeting, the council discussed critical matters concerning the municipality's continuous progress. These included the confirmation of no contest or objection to proposed DPWH projects in Santa, the review of proposed programs, projects, and activities under the 20% Annual Development Fund, as well as other pressing community matters.

The Local Government Unit of Santa informs all fisherfolk and residents that the total ban on catching "Ipon" has ended, and the Open Season for Ipon Fishing officially begins this September in accordance with Provincial Ordinance No. 14-03, Series of 2014.

Please be guided by the following regulations for safe, legal, and orderly fishing operations:

โ€ขAll fishing activities must adhere strictly to environmental regulations and local fishery management guidelines.

In his closing homily, Fr. German Somera reminded us of the deeper meaning of being a Lingkod Bayan: to love and serve without limit. Service is not merely a position or a responsibility, it is a vocation anchored in compassion, integrity, and genuine concern for others.
