𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

As we officially conclude the celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month 2026, the Municipality of Socorro and the Mabungahong Socorro Officials led by Mayor Riza Rafonselle Taruc - Timcang extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who became part of this meaningful month-long observance.

Anchored on the theme “Nagkakaisang Pilipino: Handa sa Kalamidad, Ligtas sa Kinabukasan,” we successfully conducted various activities aimed at strengthening disaster preparedness, resilience, and community participation, including:

✅ Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Campaigns in five (5) High Schools
✅ Tree Planting Activity
✅ Fire Safety Orientation and Fire Drill
✅ Community Kitchen Session (Free Harog/Binignit)
✅ Zumba for Resilience
✅ Hinabangay 2026
✅ DRRM Exhibit

These initiatives would not have been possible without the unwavering support and cooperation of our partner agencies, schools, volunteers, barangays, and every Socorronhon who actively participated throughout the celebration.

To our partners— the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Department of Education (DepEd), Municipal Government Offices, CSOs, volunteers, and all stakeholders—daghang salamat for your commitment to building a safer and more disaster-resilient Socorro.

While the month-long celebration has come to an end, our mission continues. Disaster resilience is not a one-month campaign—it is a shared responsibility and a way of life. Let us continue working together to create a community that is always prepared, responsive, and resilient.

📢 Another Day, Another DRRM Engagement! 🌍🚨

Padayon nga gipalig-on ang kahibalo ug kaandam sa atong mga magtutudlo ug kawani pinaagi sa Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Drive nga gipahigayon karong July 31, 2026, alas 3:00 sa hapon sa Atoyay National High School.

Kining maong kalihokan, nga gipangunahan sa Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) uban sa mga kaabag gikan sa Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) ug Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), kabahin gihapon sa selebrasyon sa National Disaster Resilience Month 2026. Tumong niini ang pagpalig-on sa kahibalo ug kahandam sa mga Faculty ug Staffs sa atubangan sa nagkalain-laing kalamidad ug emerhensiya.

Dako kaayong pasalamat sa Atoyay National High School Faculty and Staff, ilabi na kang Sir Dante Dacera, School Principal, sa mainiton nga pagdawat, kooperasyon, ug walay hunong nga suporta sa maong kalihokan.

Padayon kita sa pagtinabangay aron matukod ang usa ka komunidad nga andam, lig-on, ug malungtaron.

🍲 HAROG: Pagpakita sa Pag-atiman ug Panaghiusa 🤝

Isip kabahin gihapon sa selebrasyon sa National Disaster Resilience Month 2026, ang Mabungahong Socorro pinangulohan ni Mayor Riza Rafonselle T. Timcang, Vice Mayor Dalisay G. Canta ug mga SB Members, pinaagi sa Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), nagpahigayon ug Free Hot Meals (Harog) alang sa atong mga Socorronhons nga mitambong sa Municipal Gymnasium karong adlawa, Hulyo 30, 2026.

Kini nga inisyatiba usa usab ka paagi sa pagpakigselebrar sa National Nutrition Month, nga nagpasiugda sa importansya sa hustong nutrisyon isip kabahin sa usa ka lig-on, himsog, ug andam nga komunidad.

Sa kalamidad man o sa adlaw-adlaw nga kinabuhi, ang pag-atiman ug pagtinabangay mao ang tinuod nga kusog sa katawhan.

Kabahin sa selebrasyon sa National Disaster Resilience Month 2026, malampusong nahigayon ang Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign sa Socorro National High School karong hapon, alas 3:00 PM.

Gipangunahan kini sa MDRRMO Socorro, kauban ang BFP, PNP, ug PCG, uban sa aktibong partisipasyon sa mga Faculty ug Staff sa SONHS.

Dako kaajong Salamat sa SONHS, ilabi na kang School Principal Ma’am Jocelyn Vosotros, alang sa mainiton nga pagdawat ug padajon nga suporta sa among mga kalihokan.

Kining maong kalihukan gipangunahan sa Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) Socorro, uban sa mga kaabag nga ahensya nga Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) ug Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), aron mapalig-on ang kahibawo, kaandam, ug kapasidad sa mga magtutudlo ug kawani sa eskwelahan sa pag-atubang sa nagkalain-laing matang sa katalagman.

Dako kaajong pasalamat ang among ipa-abot sa Pamosaingan National High School, ilabi na kang School Head, Ma’am Mayeth Q. Guma, ug sa tibuok Faculty ug Staff, sa ilang mainiton nga pagdawat ug bililhon nga suporta sa mga tinugyanan sa MDRRMO Socorro, BFP, ug PCG. Ang injong kooperasyon ug aktibong partisipasyon dakong hinungdan sa kalampusan sa maong kalihukan.

Magpadajon kita sa pagtinabangay aron mapalig-on ang kultura sa kahandam ug kalig-on sa atong mga eskwelahan ug komunidad. Tungod kay ang usa ka komunidad nga adunay kahibawo mao ang usa ka komunidad nga andam sa bisan unsang katalagman.

Ang maong kalihokan nagtumong sa pagpalig-on sa kahibalo ug kaandam sa mga magtutudlo ug kawani sa eskwelahan batok sa nagkalain-laing matang sa kalamidad pinaagi sa paghatag og impormasyon, praktikal nga giya, ug mga angay buhaton sa dili pa, panahon sa, ug human sa emerhensya.

Nagpasalamat ang MDRRMO Socorro sa Nueva Estrella National High School, pinaagi sa ilang School Principa Mam Sheila Jane D. Lasala, alang sa ilang mainiton nga pagdawat ug aktibong partisipasyon, ingon man sa atong mga kaabag nga ahensya—PNP, BFP, ug PCG Socorro—tungod sa ilang padayon nga suporta sa pagpalambo sa usa ka luwas, andam, ug lig-on nga komunidad.

Sa ngalan sa Municipality of Socorro, Surigao Del Norte, ubos sa liderato ni Mayor Riza Rafonselle T. Timcang, ni Vice Mayor Dalisay Galanida Canta, ug sa tibuok Mabungahong Socorro Officials, among ipa-abot ang kinasingkasing nga pagpasalamat ngadto kang Governor Robert Lyndon S. Barbers ug sa PDRRMO Head Sir Cicero Cosme P. Tripoli sa injong wayay pagduhaduha nga suporta pinaagi sa paghatag og usa ka Mobile Kitchen, usa ka Water Tanker, ug 80 ka Modular Family Tents.

Kini usa ka dakong tabang sa pagpalig-on sa atong ka andam ug pag-atiman sa katawhan, labi na sa panahon sa kalamidad.. Daghan kaajong Salamat..

Received by MDRRM Officer Engr. Kristoper Glenn R. Dela Peña last July 22, 2026 at Provincial Gymnasium. Orientation on the operation of the said unit was conducted on the same date by selected MDRRMO Socorro personnel.
