This National Indigenous Peoples’ Month, we honor the rich cultures, sacred traditions, and deep wisdom of our Indigenous communities. They are the true heart and soul of our nation. For generations, they have lived with a deep love and respect for nature, reminding us of our true roots and where we come from.
But celebrating them is not just about saying "thank you."

This month calls us to take real action. We must make sure they are included, fiercely protect their lands, and make their voices heard. By standing side-by-side with our Indigenous brothers and sisters, we help ensure their stories, identities, and rights do not fade away, but grow stronger for the next generation.

Let us celebrate our beautiful differences, stand up for equal rights, and keep the living heritage of our Indigenous Peoples alive and bright!

A special throwback to where the previous administration laid down the groundwork: the 1st Strategic Planning Session under the leadership of President Zandra Kate V. Asturias!

Before the past term executed its flagship projects and memorable events, it all began inside this room, filled with big dreams, cups of coffee, and intense brainstorming.

Better late than never to honor the sweat and blueprints that paved the way. Take a look back at the minds behind last year’s term! ☕📝

Every administration leaves behind more than a record of accomplishments. It leaves a collection of stories, shared ambitions, quiet sacrifices, and moments that define an era of student leadership.

Through a different lens, we revisit the faces that shaped the previous SKSU University Student Government administration—not merely by the positions they held, but by the purpose they carried and the individuality they brought to service.

As one chapter finds its place in history, some journeys continue, others take new directions, and every contribution becomes part of a collective legacy. These portraits stand as a testament to an administration whose story deserves to be seen, remembered, and preserved.

General Santos City - Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) participated in the Mindanao Clean Energy Forum 2026, held on October 22–23, 2026, at Greenleaf Hotel. Representing the University were University Student Government (USG) President Mr. Bon Angelo A. Defiño and the USG officers, together with the engineering students from SKSU Isulan Campus.

The forum brought together stakeholders from the government, industry, electric cooperatives, financial institutions, academe, civil society, and the private sector to discuss renewable energy development and the transition toward a more sustainable energy system in Mindanao.

With the theme “Harnessing Renewables, Securing Mindanao’s Energy Future: Pathways to Unlocking Reforms and Investments in Renewable Energy,” the event highlighted the importance of advancing clean energy initiatives and strengthening collaboration among sectors to address emerging energy and environmental challenges.

The participation of SKSU students provided valuable opportunities to learn about renewable energy, explore its applications, and understand its role in sustainable development. Through initiatives like this, SKSU continues to encourage student engagement in energy sustainability and environmental responsibility, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future for Mindanao.
