TAGUDIN MDRRMC CONDUCTS 3RD QUARTER MEETING

TAGUDIN, ILOCOS SUR — September 23, 2026. The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) of Tagudin conducted its 3rd Quarter Meeting today at the Office of the Municipal Mayor Conference Hall, with the Proposed Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) for Calendar Year 2027 as the main agenda.

The meeting was held under the proactive leadership of MDRRMC Chairperson Hon. Evangeline I. Verzosa, Municipal Mayor, through Engr. Michael B. Padayao, Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer. Council members discussed and reviewed the proposed 2027 PPAs aimed at strengthening the municipality’s disaster preparedness, prevention and mitigation, response, rehabilitation, and recovery initiatives.

The meeting further emphasized inter-agency coordination, strategic planning, and community resilience, reinforcing the commitment of the Municipality of Tagudin to maintain a proactive, coordinated, and disaster-resilient local government.

TAGUDIN MDRRMO CONDUCTS 3RD QUARTER NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL

The Tagudin Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), headed by Engr. Michael B. Padayao, LDRRM Officer, successfully facilitated the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on September 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at Saint Augustine’s School.

The activity was participated in by the Municipality’s different Response Clusters, together with the school administration, teachers, students, and personnel. The drill emphasized the proper ex*****on of the “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” procedure and reinforced preparedness, coordination, and immediate response during earthquake emergencies.

The Tagudin MDRRMO recognizes the active participation and cooperation of all stakeholders in strengthening the community’s disaster preparedness and resilience.
