A brilliant product means little if it never reaches the right customers.

That was the central takeaway from the Go-to-Market (GTM) & Scale session of Founder Institute Cohort 5 at NIC Islamabad, where founders explored what it truly takes to transform promising startups into businesses that grow sustainably.

The session began with dynamic 60-second founder pitches, giving participants the opportunity to refine their messaging and receive candid, actionable feedback from mentors on communication, positioning, and market differentiation.

Drawing from their entrepreneurial journeys, Dr. Mohsin Zahid, Bilal Asif, and Umar Dhudra shared practical insights on building effective go-to-market strategies, from achieving product-market fit and founder-led sales to creating strong personal brands, earning customer trust, and leveraging AI to strengthen distribution and growth.

More than just a discussion on scaling, the session challenged founders to think beyond building products and focus on building businesses that customers choose, trust, and advocate for.

With every Founder Institute session, Cohort 5 founders continue to sharpen the mindset, strategies, and ex*****on needed to build ventures that create lasting impact.

Tomorrow's leaders need more than ideas. They need exposure to the ecosystems shaping the future.

NIC Islamabad welcomed a delegation from the Pakistan Youth Parliament for an engaging visit focused on Pakistan's evolving startup ecosystem and the role of innovation in national development.

The session explored how early-stage startups, particularly in AI and DeepTech, are supported through public-funded incubation, while fostering dialogue on how youth leadership, policymaking, and entrepreneurship can work together to create meaningful economic impact.

By connecting young change makers with Pakistan's innovation ecosystem, the visit encouraged collaboration, knowledge exchange, and a shared vision for building technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges.

The next generation of entrepreneurs doesn't just need inspiration, they need exposure to the ecosystems where innovation happens.

This week, NIC Islamabad welcomed students from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST)'s SINES School for an immersive engagement designed to bridge academia with Pakistan's evolving startup ecosystem.

The session opened with Muazima Batool Agha, who engaged students in an interactive discussion on entrepreneurship, innovation, and the opportunities available within Pakistan's startup ecosystem, encouraging them to think beyond conventional career paths. Building on this, Gohar Raiz Haider presented an overview of Pakistan's entrepreneurial landscape and the critical role incubation centers play in enabling innovation-driven ventures.

This was followed by an interactive session with our Project Director, who shared practical perspectives on startup building, founder challenges, and the opportunities available through NIC Islamabad's incubation programs.

The visit concluded with a guided tour of the incubation center, where students experienced firsthand the collaborative environment, facilities, and startup community that support high-growth founders.

By connecting future innovators with founders, mentors, and the realities of entrepreneurship, we're helping cultivate the entrepreneurial mindset that will shape Pakistan's next generation of founders.

As startups grow, the conversations become bigger than the product. They shift to ownership, equity, intellectual property, and building a company that's ready for the future.

At NIC Islamabad, Founder Institute Cohort 5 founders explored these critical aspects during the Legal & Equity session with legal experts Mariam Saleem and Hassan M***i.

The session unpacked the legal foundations every startup should get right, from founder agreements and equity structures to intellectual property, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.

Mariam Saleem emphasized the importance of clear founder roles, proper documentation, fair equity arrangements, and protecting intellectual property from day one. Hassan M***i shared practical guidance on structuring founder relationships, addressing potential disputes early, aligning equity with founder contributions, and knowing when to seek legal counsel.

The session equipped founders with practical insights to protect their startups, formalize co-founder relationships, and build ventures that are better prepared for growth, investment, and long-term success.

Every startup has a beginning. The best ones keep building until the world takes notice.

Every prototype, every late night, every challenge solved behind the scenes eventually leads to moments like these.

At Indus AI RAS Expo 2026, two startups from the NIC Islamabad community were recognized among Pakistan's leading robotics and AI innovators.

otics secured 1st Place in the RAS Innovation Challenge 2026, taking home the Grand Prize for its groundbreaking work in robotics.

Strydex Robotics earned 2nd Runner-Up, winning PKR 500,000 and reinforcing the impact of innovation built with persistence and purpose.

These milestones aren't just wins for two startups, they're a reminder of what's possible when founders keep building, keep testing, and keep believing in their ideas.

Congratulations to the teams at Brainswarm Robotics and Strydex Robotics. Your journey is inspiring the next generation of innovators, and we're proud to be part of it.

Here's to building what's next.
