Lakhiwal Sharif is a very well known spiritual place in Sargodha (Pakistan).It is famous for the Sufi Shrines of Peer Syed Afzal Hussain Shah Hamdani(R.A) and Peer Syed Ahmad Anwar Shah Hamdan(R.A). Present Sajjada Nashin of Astana Aalia is Peer Syed Bilawal Hamdani who is the beloved son of Peer Syed Mehboob Alam Shah Hamdani(R.A). The Annual URS festival is held at Lakhiwal Sharif which commemor

ates the death anniversaries of Sufi Saints(Aulia-e-Karaam). It is held over three days on 14,15 and 16th of March,thousands of Sufi devotees and desciples(Mureedain) from different parts of Pakistan travel to Lakhiwal sharif to attend the Urs.
