Mark Eclas Mulima

✨ Creating, sharing, and bringing the French language to life on campus is what motivates Mark every day.

🎓 A first-year Bachelor of Arts with Education student at Makerere University and a recipient of a scholarship from the French Embassy, he does not limit himself to learning the language in class. He is actively involved in his university’s French Club, where he organizes activities and helps increase its visibility, particularly on social media.

🤝 One thing that especially struck him was seeing students join the club without even speaking French. For him, this is proof that the language brings people together, beyond language proficiency levels.

🚀 This experience has strengthened his ambitions: to keep improving, obtain the DELF C1 certification, and eventually pursue his studies in France. 🇫🇷

💬 His advice: “Seize opportunities when they come your way.”

Créer, partager, faire vivre le français sur son campus, c’est ce qui motive Mark au quotidien.

Etudiant en première année de Bachelor of Arts with Education à Kampala et bénéficiaire d’une bourse de l’Ambassade de France, il ne se contente pas d’apprendre la langue en classe. Il s’implique activement dans le French Club de son université, en proposant des activités et en contribuant à le rendre plus visible, notamment sur les réseaux sociaux.

Voir des étudiants rejoindre le club sans même parler français est une des choses qui l’a marqué. Pour lui, c’est la preuve que la langue rassemble, au-delà des niveaux.

Cette expérience a renforcé ses ambitions: continuer à progresser, passer au DELF C1 et, à terme, poursuivre ses études en France.

Son conseil: “Saisissez les opportunités quand elles se présentent”.

📚 Meet Daniella, a KYAMBOGO UNIVERSITY 🇺🇬student pursuing Bachelor of Arts in Education with French, courtesy of a French Embassy scholarship.

Daniella is preparing to take the final exam of her first year.

👨🏽‍🎓 As recipient of a scholarship from the French Embassy, she reflects on an experience that truly left a mark on her. In a class of only five students, she was able to build confidence and, above all, practice speaking every day: “that’s how you really improve.”

💻 Alongside French, each student chooses a specialization. Daniella decided to focus on ICT. Convinced that the French language is a real professional asset, she believes it is important to connect it with other fields.

👩🏽‍🏫 Today, she is already putting what she has learned into practice by teaching French to two young beginners.

🚀 Most importantly, this scholarship has given her a first boost. The student wants to go further, continue improving, and perhaps even pursue a Master’s degree in France!

🎉 We wish Daniella success in her studies.

Voici Daniella, étudiante à l'université de Kyambogo préparant un Bachelor en sciences de l'éducation (avec option langue française).

Daniella s’apprête à passer le dernier examen de sa première année à KYAMBOGO UNIVERSITY.

Bénéficiaire d’une bourse de l’Ambassade de France en Ouganda, elle revient sur une expérience qui l’a vraiment marquée. Dans une classe de seulement cinq étudiantes, elle a pu prendre confiance et surtout pratiquer l’oral au quotidien “c’est comme ça que l’on progresse vraiment”.

En parallèle du français, chaque étudiant choisit une spécialité. Daniella s’est tournée vers l’ICT. Convaincue que la langue française est un véritable levier professionnelle, il est important de la relier à d’autres domaines.

Aujourd’hui, elle met déjà en pratique ce qu’elle a appris en enseignant le français à deux jeunes débutants.

Mais surtout, cette bourse lui a donné un premier élan. L’étudiante veut aller plus loin, continuer à progresser, et pourquoi pas poursuivre un Master en France !

Nous souhaitons à Daniella beaucoup de succès dans ses études.
