Well who said firefighters just makes calls to fires, trees down, medical calls and vehicle accidents. Today Warrior River Fire & Rescue got a call to help a community members fur baby. It had falling off a bluff and was having issues getting back on stable ground. Special thanks to our volunteers and Concord Fire for helping to get this fur baby back to its owner unharmed.

GREAT JOB!

It has been a busy week for Birmingport and our surrounding communities. On Tuesday our personnel responded with Concord Fire District and Warrior River Fire District to the 8400 Block of Taylors Ferry Road on a structure fire. Upon our arrival we encountered heavy smoke showing and working fire conditions. Crews performed searches inside the structure due to not knowing if anyone was home and in the structure. Thankfully all the residents were not home at the time of the fire but we were able to rescue the families' cat and dog from the fire and they are alive and well. The fire was extinguished and crews returned to service. We are proud of our automatic aid agreements with Concord and Warrior Rive Fire, due to working together, we had 18 firefighters on scene and 12,500 gallons of water. Teamwork is the key to success. Today Birmingport crews responded to the report of an adult male in cardiac arrest. Upon our arrival the patient was in cardiac arrest. On scene crews were able to restore breathing and a pulse, and the patient was talking to crew members before transport. Great Job A Shift!!!! Our prayers go out to these families. We are very proud of our guys and gals at Birmingport along with our neighboring departments Concord and Warrior River.
