Help us name our newest Metro Pack critters! Enter the naming contest at bit.ly/SMPcritters.

Back in 2008, Summit Metro Parks introduced a group of animal characters — later dubbed “The Metro Pack” — to the community. We asked visitors like you to help name them, and you delivered. Now, The Metro Pack is growing! We’re welcoming three new animal characters to the crew and, once again, we’d love your help naming them.

Read the character descriptions at bit.ly/SMPcritters and provide your name suggestions by August 15.

Join us for an immersive dance-theatre experience during the world premiere of Dominic Moore-Dunson’s Black by Nature, commissioned by DANCECleveland.

Rooted in Moore‑Dunson’s exploration of healing and belonging in nature as a Black man, Black by Nature reimagines the relationship between identity and the outdoor world. The work creates space for reflection, freedom and connection, guided by an original, jazz‑influenced score performed live by an acoustic ensemble of guitar, saxophone, trumpet, upright bass and hand percussion.

Register for one of four performances at https://ow.ly/41KO50ZvTIF.

Holy ravioli, Batman! Did you know that bats really do have superpowers?

🪽 Bats are the only mammals capable of true flight.
🦟 A single bat can eat 1,000 mosquito-sized insects in an hour.
👀 Bats can “see” in the dark by using echolocation.
đź‘‚ A mother bat can find her pup in a colony of hundreds just by its unique voice and smell.
