Shout out to the gardeners of Chanshtnu Muldoon for a very successful vetch pull last night! They loved uncovering the roses, yarrow, lupine, and other native plants. Reach out if you want help organizing something in your neighborhood, and check out the "What The Vetch, Anchorage?!" Facebook group.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Native Plant Sale such a success!

A special thank you to the Alaska Native Plant Society, Bear Mountain Forest Nursery, Government Hill Commons & Orchard, and our experienced Alaska native plant growers.

You all helped create a welcoming space to learn about, explore, and celebrate Alaska's native plants.

Our community is stronger when we come together. 💚

Our Invasive Species Team is out in Hope this week helping landowners remove and treat their invasive cherry trees!

Have a property in Hope in need of a little TLC? Let us know!

The list of landowners requesting help with their invasive chokecherry trees keeps on growing - it's not too late for you to get in on it, too!

Also, also...the Kenai Peninsula Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area - KP CISMA is collecting information about escaped chokecherry trees. If you see one growing in the wild (as in, not purposely planted in a yard, park, parking lot, etc.), tell them about it by clicking on the "REPORT A WILD TREE" button at www.kenaiinvasives.org.

We're excited to welcome Josh Smith and Bear Mountain Forest Nursery to our Native Plant Sale!

Join us Saturday, July 25th, from 10am to 1pm at Government Hill Commons & Orchard (803 Erickson Street).

Stop by his booth to browse a diverse selection of plants that support resilient landscapes and local food security. Ask Josh how ecology influences the way he grows plants!

Come celebrate Alaska's native plants while supporting our local growers who help bring them into our communities. We hope to see you there!
