The Transfer Station is closed to all other refuse and recycling drop off for Saturday, June 6th. Only electronics recycling will be accepted.

Enforcement of the Gas Powered Leaf Blower Ordinance starts next month. From June 1 to October 1, 2026, the use of gas powered leaf blowers will not be permitted in Lower Merion Township.

LM Report-IT is the preferred method for reporting alleged ordinance violations. Complaints may also be made via email to [email protected] or by phone at 610-645-6124.

Homebuyers must meet Lower Merion Township eligibility requirements, including income restrictions, acceptable credit and sufficient savings. A “soft” zero interest second mortgage will be placed on the property for the difference between the value of the property ($469,000) and the estimated affordable first mortgage amount ($250,000). Homebuyers must comply with program requirements and agree to resale restrictions.

When applications are reviewed, some preference is given to people who already live or work in Lower Merion, former township residents, military veterans, or are active Lower Merion volunteer firefighters.
