Today is World Autism Awareness Day.

At Group Living, we see the importance of meeting each person where they are and supporting the path that’s right for them.

Awareness matters, but understanding, inclusion, and opportunity matter more.

Every person deserves the chance to build a life with independence, connection, and purpose.

When we look at the thriving parks, educational programs, and conserved forest lands throughout Clark County, we are seeing the direct results of Jane Ross’s lifelong dedication to her hometown. As a co-founder of the Ross Foundation, Jane transformed her family’s legacy into a perpetual engine for local progress.

Jane’s impact was rooted in the innovative idea of using managed timberlands to fund community improvement. By reinvesting the proceeds from thousands of acres of forest back into Clark County, she ensured that our schools, libraries, and public spaces would have the support they needed to flourish for generations.

Beyond her administrative brilliance, Jane was known for her quiet strength and her unwavering belief in the potential of Arkadelphia. Whether she was supporting a local literacy initiative or ensuring the preservation of our natural resources, her goal was always to leave her community better than she found it.

As Women’s History Month comes to a close, we honor Jane Ross for her incredible foresight and the lasting gift of the Ross Foundation. Her legacy is literally growing all around us, and we are so fortunate to call her one of our own.
