Our sincere appreciation to Sherrye Irvin Perry for her ongoing dedication and support of the Land of Sky Regional Council’s Area Agency on Aging. In her role as Chairperson of the Regional Aging Advisory Council, Sherrye also serves on the Land of Sky Regional Council Executive Committee. Her leadership, commitment, and continued advocacy for older adults and caregivers are deeply valued and greatly appreciated.

Members of the Executive Committee was sworn in at today’s Land of Sky Regional Council’s Board of Delegates meeting by the Honorable Ward Scott, Chief District Court Judge, 40th Judicial District.

🏡✨ Need help removing an abandoned manufactured home?

Property owners in Henderson County can now submit applications for the Abandoned Manufactured Home Removal Program — a grant that helps property owners cover demolition costs.

Here’s how it works:

🔹 The grant pays half the cost of removal (base quote: $4,850)

🔹 Property owner match: $2,425

🔹 Additional costs apply if the home exceeds 20,000 lbs, has contents, or has added structures

🔹 If your individual annual income is under $40,000, the County will cover the entire cost
📅 Grant cycle: July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027
