⭐️Crystal Couch and Mike Couch from Roads Hotel ⭐️
Mike and Crystal are siblings who began their paranormal journey in 2007 as volunteers at a famously haunted location in Kentucky. During this time, Mike suffered the loss of his right leg and moved on to establish the Lost Limbs Foundation. Mike was able to help several children, who were also amputees, and their families afford life changing prosthetics and other mobility and assistive devices. The Lost Limbs Foundation also owned the Roads Hotel. Roads Hotel was a source of income for the foundation along with donations from supporters. Crystal worked behind the scenes booking investigations for the hotel.
Mike dissolved the Lost Limbs Foundation in 2023 and needed to sell or donate the hotel as part of the dissolution process. Crystal purchased the hotel from the foundation in April 2023. She had grown attached to the building during the five years she had been booking investigations and decided to take on the daunting task of owning and operating a haunted location.
Crystal has now owned the hotel for two years and uses all funds from rentals to operate and restore the location. Support from friends like Robbin Terry and Norma Terry from Ashmore Estates, teams who rent the hotel for investigations, and generous donations, have allowed her to begin the restoration process.
Mike has been into the paranormal for nearly 20 years. He got into paranormal research after having a personal experience. He’s investigated various locations across the country as well as abroad. Currently he hosts events and investigations being booked at Roads Hotel.
Mike was a guest investigator on A&E’s Ghost Hunters' "You Were Warned" episode at Duff Green Mansion in Vicksburg, Mississippi, where there were reports of a civil war soldier holding his amputated leg. Mike has also filmed various other projects for Roads Hotel with PBS and other networks over the years.
Mike is also an above knee amputee. He has pushed his own limits by attempting to climb Mount Washington to show we are capable of more than we believe. Mike was part of the series called “Unlimbited Journey,” where he teamed up with Nick Groff filming challenges to push limits and show we are capable of more than we think we are.
Roads Hotel is a Queen Anne Victorian home built in 1893 in Atlanta, Indiana. Newton Roads purchased the hotel for his wife, Clara, to run while he worked as a traveling salesman. Several members of the Roads family, including Clara, Newton, and their son, Everett, passed in the hotel. The hotel was also allegedly a speakeasy and brothel. John Dillinger is rumored to have stayed in the hotel while passing through Atlanta. The hotel is now open for paranormal investigations. Investigators have reported seeing full body apparitions, hearing disembodied voices, capturing EVPs, being touched, and capturing anomalies on video.
