Our COO, Elizabeth Banks, and Dragon Con’s Jo Garland sat with WSB-TV & Condace Pressley to discuss our partnership for this year’s Dragon Con!

Hope Atlanta receives thousands of calls monthly from those in need.

We’re honored to celebrate Dragon Con’s 40th anniversary as their Charity Partner and are looking forward to using the funds raised to better serve those families and individuals in need!

In recognition of World Humanitarian Day, we’d like to spotlight this year’s 2026 Heroes for Hope Individual Hero, Chris Womack.

Mr. Womack has devoted many years of his life to making a resounding impact in the city of Atlanta.

With over 35 years of experience, Womack has served as a transformative leader in the U.S. energy sector – championing inclusion efforts across the region.

Prior to joining Southern Company, Womack worked on Capitol Hill for the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. He served as a legislative aide for former Congressman Leon E. Panetta and as staff director for the Subcommittee on Personnel and Police for the Committee on House Administration.

Please join us October 8th at our Heroes for Hope gala as we honor Chris Womack and his legacy.

For the first half of this year, the FIFA World Cup was the most anticipated global event. In Atlanta, the spotlight was especially bright.

Fortunately, we did not shrink under that pressure. Atlanta rose to the occasion. Why? Because well before the World Cup, a collective of nonprofits, city officials, and other organizations had already answered the call to collaborate and invest more deeply in community.

As Mayor Dickens often says, “Atlanta is a group project.” The World Cup gave our city a chance to put that idea into action by testing our response model on a large scale.

It’s all smiles in the kitchen!🧡

Thank you to our community of volunteers who continuously pour into Hope Atlanta’s clients by serving in the Women’s Community Kitchen.

Our volunteers support the kitchen in many ways — preparing and serving meals, organizing the pantry, or simply being a listening ear to a client in need of community. And, most importantly, they do it with a smile.

Data from the Atlanta Mission shows that more than 3,300 local youth experience homelessness. Even more critical, 50% of youth aging out of the foster care system will experience homelessness within just six months.

This , we’re calling on our community to help us aid our city's most vulnerable population. Your support can change the trajectory of a child’s life.

Support our mission and give a gift today!
