We are 24 days away from Election Day. District 24 State Senator Lee Anderson has a simple message: get your friends, family and neighbors to the polls. Every vote counts in this election.

Early voting starts this Tuesday, October 13, and runs through Friday, October 30. Statewide Saturday voting is October 17 and 24. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.

Make a plan to vote and bring someone with you.

With the risk for tornadoes overnight Friday and throughout the day on Saturday, it's important to have multiple ways to receive storm alerts including Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEAS).

WEAs are short emergency messages sent to mobile phones from cell towers within a defined geographic location. They are received based on current location and are not subscription based.

To check if WEAs are turned on, check the notification settings on your phone.

It’s Whacky Wednesday with Democrat Sen. Josh McLaurin.

When the Georgia Senate voted to crack down on fentanyl, McLaurin said no. Twice. He was one of just 3 Democrat senators to vote against Senate Bill 79, the Fentanyl Eradication and Removal Act, which stiffened penalties for trafficking the drug killing Georgians every day. He was also one of only 3Democrats to oppose Austin’s Law, Senate Bill 465, which holds drug dealers accountable when their fentanyl takes a life.

Both bills passed with overwhelming bipartisan support. McLaurin chose the traffickers over Georgia families.

Senate Republicans won’t stop fighting to get fentanyl off our streets and keep our communities safe.

Senate Republicans are excited to keep working with a proven conservative leader like Greg to lower the cost of housing, make sure every child has access to quality education options that work for them and their family, and keep Georgia’s communities safe.
