I'm honored to have received an endorsement from Emilys List.

This November, EMILYs List women are at the center of the fight to protect Maine's Democratic trifecta by defending Democratic majorities in the state House and Senate. That’s why we’re proud to stand with these bold leaders as we work to ensure Mainers continue to have the leadership they deserve.

Augusta Downtown Alliance, the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce and the City of Augusta did a fantastic job organizing with Ironman for another excellent race.

The Fireworks for the welcome party were great and the Waterfront looked magical with all the lights and the stage.

Thank you to all the organizers and participants.

It was an incredibly busy weekend. Started off on Friday in Vassalboro. I met farmers, businesspeople, retirees, small business owners, teachers and quite a few kids deep into their long summer vacations.

We talked about what we need to do to strengthen our energy grid, H1-B visas and what that means for local farmers trying to get their hay and produce in, what it's like to retire these days on a state pension, trains, redevelopment in small and large towns and cities, the wild real estate market, how thankful we all have been for the good rain and even better sunshine we've gotten this summer.

Saturday morning, I joined The China Lake Association for their annual meeting which was surprisingly informative and quite amusing at times. I don't know why I'm so surprised it was funny, because it was lake people, IYKYK.

After I hit Le Calumet Club for their summer yard sale and then over to the other side of Augusta to meet more people right at their front steps.

Sunday was Ward Pond Woods Conservation Area for a hike and a swim with my family. We are lucky in Maine to have so many excellent and well managed forests that have been conserved for wildlife and humans to enjoy.

I hope to speak to more of you as I make my way around the district this season. The conversations are always interesting and frequently add another plot point for me.

We're nearly 100 days away from election day. I’ve loved getting to know the residents of District 15, even the non-votings ones like my furry friend pictured (pay no attention to his expression, he was a very sweet boy).

I'm hosting a meet-and-greet in Augusta on Monday, August 3. I'd love for you to join us! Please sign up using the link below. I look forward to meeting even more of our neighbors and hearing what's important to you.

I’m committed to serving our community and making it a better place for all Mainers. This campaign has been quite the journey, and I remain incredibly grateful to all those who’ve given me their support and helped us get to this point.

I knocked on a lot of doors in the Mayfair neighborhood in Augusta this week. The weather today was much more pleasant than Wednesday.

We talked about me fixing MH-53E helicopters and C-130s planes in the Navy* and which one is easier (both challenging in different ways but the C-130 is a bit less intense), values, integrity, crafty AC solutions, the importance of good neighbors (and sometimes good fences), the state paying some property tax to Augusta to help support our city services, trains, manufacturing in Maine, public service pension COLA, the US Senate race and many other things.

I also saw a dog on a roof who had knocked the window AC unit out. I encouraged him to get back in the house. He did eventually go in. I figured if he could get back in, he was probably going to be okay.

*mentions of the US Navy, my rank or title in no way constitute an endorsement for my campaign or me by the Department of The Navy or Department of Defense.

It is often said that having integrity is doing the right thing when no one is looking, but having integrity also means doing the right thing and making the hard decision when everyone is watching.
I am deeply disappointed for Maine and for our party because of the actions of Graham Platner.

Jenny's allegations are serious and credible, and I believe her. Graham should withdraw his candidacy immediately, and allow us to find another candidate who can move this campaign forward.

Hi!

I believe housing and healthcare are human rights and leaving some of our residents to starve and freeze to death is wrong.

I believe a country can only be judged by how well the least of their citizens are doing.

I believe we have a duty as members of society to educate our kids and provide them with the opportunities to use that education to live a fulfilled life.

I believe Maine's greatest strength is our doggedly determine people who are renowned for their hard work and cleverness. We also have some pretty areas.

I like clean side walks, smooth roads and nice landscaping.

If you think we have a lot in common, please support my campaign by donating $5 to my Clean Elections Fund. The deadline is April 21st and I'd like to check that box and get on with the rest of the campaign. https://apps1.web.maine.gov/cgi-bin/online/ethics/cleanelection/home.pl
