Recently, during Texas State Guard Annual Training 2026, service members from 3rd and 6th Brigades completed Forklift Operator Certification training to strengthen logistics and emergency response capabilities.

The course combined classroom instruction with hands-on practical exercises, equipping participants with the skills to safely inspect, operate, and maneuver powered industrial equipment in support of mission requirements.

Training like this enhances the Texas State Guardโ€™s ability to support supply distribution, warehouse operations, and disaster response efforts across the state.

When temperatures rise, readiness matters. Texas State Guard medical personnel trained to recognize and treat heat-related injuries during a realistic annual training exercise.

Recently, service members participated in a simulated heat casualty scenario designed to test response procedures from the point of injury through medical evaluation and treatment.

The exercise provided service members and medical responders the opportunity to apply critical lifesaving skills in a realistic environment while strengthening teamwork, readiness, and operational effectiveness.

Training like this helps ensure Texas State Guard personnel remain prepared to protect the health and safety of fellow service members during training, missions, and emergency operations.
