Texas State Guard personnel recently completed another round of critical professional development and readiness training through Initial Entry Training / Basic Orientation Training (IET/BOT), Officer Professional Military Education (OPME), and the Direct Commissioning Officer Orientation Course (DCOOC) at Camp Swift.

These courses are designed to prepare and develop Texas State Guard service members for leadership, operational readiness, and mission success in support of the State of Texas.

From classroom instruction and leadership development to hands-on field training and team-building exercises, students strengthened the skills necessary to serve during emergencies, disaster response operations, and community support missions across the state.

Training Command remains committed to building disciplined, capable, and mission-ready personnel prepared to answer the call when Texans need them most.
