Yesterday felt like HOME.
And not just any home… HOME SWEET HOME, BANDERA!
There is something truly special about this little town we call home. Yesterday was one of those days that reminded us exactly why. The park was packed, the streets were filled, our community was smiling, and Bulldog pride could be felt around every corner!
From the Homecoming Parade to the Bonfire, the entire community showed up for our kids, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening! Seeing generations of Bulldogs, families, friends, neighbors, and our hometown come together is what makes Bandera so special.
This is more than a school district. This is a community. This is FAMILY. This is HOME!
An evening this special doesn't happen without some pretty incredible people working behind the scenes. We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to:
City Marshal Heidelberg and the City of Bandera for their assistance with parade planning, coordination, and the parade route.
Bandera County Sheriff's Office and our BISD School Resource Officers for helping with planning, traffic, and keeping our community safe.
Terry Wells and the City of Bandera Public Works Department for their tremendous help with the bonfire, keeping our park beautiful, and making it possible to host not just one, but TWO wonderful community events in a single day!
Bandera Fire Marshal Jason Rutherford, the Bandera Volunteer Fire Department, and volunteer Brad Cummings for their time, assistance, and dedication to making our bonfire a safe and memorable tradition.
And a VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to T-Mobile!
We are beyond excited to announce that Bandera ISD is a TWO-TIME $5,000 WINNER of T-Mobile's Friday Night 5G Lights! What an incredible surprise and an even more incredible way to celebrate Homecoming Week! Thank you, T-Mobile, for joining us yesterday to officially present our $5,000 check and for investing in our students, schools, and small-town communities like ours. We are so grateful for this opportunity and couldn't be more excited!
And to our BISD staff, students, families, parent volunteers, community members, and every single person who came out to celebrate, THANK YOU!
Thank you for showing up. Thank you for cheering on our kids. Thank you for keeping our traditions alive. Most importantly, thank you for reminding us that the heart of Bandera has always been its PEOPLE.
Our vision is to be a small-town district creating a world-wide impact, and yesterday was a beautiful reminder of just how powerful our small town can be when we come together.
There's no place like HOME, and there's certainly no place like BANDERA!
But we're not finished yet, Bulldogs! Next up: HOMECOMING FRIDAY NIGHT! Let's pack the stands, bring that same hometown spirit, and finish Homecoming Week the only way Bandera knows how... TOGETHER!
WE ARE ONE. WE ARE BANDERA. FOREVER BULLDOGS!
