Community Health and Counseling Services Providing Home Health, Hospice and Mental Health Services to people in central, northern and eastern Our services are provided 24-7, 365 days a year.

CHCS is both a Medicare/MaineCare certified home health agency and a comprehensive community based behavioral and mental health provider. We work in collaboration with other health care providers to assist people in accessing care that can help them transition from and/or avoid more intensive and expensive forms of health care services.

It helps a child with autism access the educational support they deserve at Stillwater Academy. It helps a family keep their loved one at home through hospice care. It helps someone in crisis get a phone call answered at 2am, by someone who genuinely cares.

CHCS provides 24-hour crisis services for adults, youth, and families across Penobscot and Piscataquis counties. Our mobile crisis team can meet you where you are — by tele health or in person — no insurance required. Crisis care is available regardless of your ability to pay, and you will always be treated with dignity and respect.
