Barnesville Police Department Welcome to the Village of Barnesville, Ohio Police Departments Official page. The Barnesville Police Department under the direction of Chief Rocky F.

Sirianni consists of 9 full-time officers, 8 part-time/auxiliary officers, 2 full-time and 2 part-time dispatchers. The department has a close working relationship with the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office. The police department’s main priority is keeping the community safe. The police department participates in the OLLEISN network, which shares information with other Ohio agencies and OHLEG, Ohio

Law Enforcement Gateway, which is a law enforcement information aid. The department answers on average 6,000 calls a year and makes approximately 1,300 arrests. The department has implemented the use of Resource Officers into the Barnesville School system. The officer’s interaction with the students brings a better relationship between the youth and the police department. The department participates in various events in the community. Tours are given throughout the year to school students, boy and girl scouts, and various kids clubs, with the jail and police cruisers being the most popular points of the tour. "Safety Pup” also makes several public appearances throughout the year and helps the officer in presenting the area children in how to use and dial 911. Chief Sirianni and his department’s main priority is ensuring a safe environment for the citizens of Barnesville. The department also strives to maintain and grow the great relationship they have established with the community. The Barnesville Police Department is proud to offer FREE Community Safety Training opportunities for residents of Barnesville and the surrounding area.

These trainings will include:
▪️Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE)
▪️Stop the Bleed Training

Participants will learn practical skills that can help save lives during emergency situations, including situational awareness, emergency response principles, and hands-on bleeding control techniques.

Free Community Training Dates Offered - Training will be held at the Library Annex, 611 N Chestnut St, Barnesville:

▪️Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 6:30 PM
▪️Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 1:00 PM
▪️Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 6:30 PM

🚧 Street & Parking Lot Closures – Thursday, May 7, 2026

Please be advised of the following closures in downtown Barnesville:

📍 North Arch Street Closure
North Arch Street, from East Church Street to East Main Street, will be closed approximately 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM for the National Day of Prayer Service at Veterans Plaza.

➡️ Please use alternate routes during this time.

📍 West Main Street Parking Lot Closure
The West Main Street Parking Lot will be closed all day for Fun in the Ville activities.

➡️ Please use alternate parking locations.
➡️ If you normally park in this lot, please move your vehicle before Thursday morning.

The Water Office parking lot located at 126 East Church Street will be closed on Friday, May 8, 2026 for paving.

If you normally park in this lot, please make sure your vehicle is moved prior to Friday. Anyone who uses this lot will need to arrange for alternative parking during the closure.
