OUR STUDENTS. OUR SCHOOLS. OUR COMMUNITY.

On November 3, our community will make an important decision regarding the future of the Barron Area School District.

The BASD Operational Referendum is focused on sustaining the programs, opportunities, and the amazing people that serve our Golden Bears each day while addressing the financial realities facing our district.

We believe an informed community is an engaged community. Please take a few minutes to learn about the need, the numbers, and what the referendum would mean for BASD.

🌟 Golden Moments! Infinite Stories: A Series! 🌟

The BHS Automotive class is currently working through their brakes unit, and the shop has been busy with multiple vehicles coming in for new brakes and brake components.

Students are getting real-world experience diagnosing braking concerns, identifying the necessary repairs, and completing the work themselves. It’s a great opportunity to build both technical skills and confidence in the shop! 🛠️

These 7th graders earned their Golden Bear Bravos for going out of their way to be helpful and kind. Keep spreading that BE GOLDEN spirit! ⭐🐻

October is National Principals Month, and today we recognize Chad Buss, Principal of Barron High School! 🐻❤️

Leading a high school means helping students navigate not only academics, but activities, athletics, relationships, challenges, celebrations, and the many decisions that come with preparing for life beyond graduation. Chad brings a strong commitment to students and staff and works hard to make BHS a place where every student has opportunities to discover their strengths and pursue their dreams.

Thank you, Chad, for your leadership, your commitment to our students, and all of the work—both seen and unseen—that goes into leading BHS each day.

Happy National Principals Month, Chad! Thank you for all you do for our Golden Bears!

🔥 BHS senior Ethan Eriksen is showing what it looks like to turn an idea into a business! Ethan modeled pants from his company, Shredrz Attire, which was featured as one of the live auction items at the 5th Annual Barron Area Education Social.

Ethan’s entrepreneurial journey is already impressive—he was named the Wisconsin Young Entrepreneur of the Year last year! 🏆

BASD is incredibly proud to see one of our students turning creativity, hard work, and an entrepreneurial spirit into a growing business. Way to represent BHS, Ethan! 👏
