It was Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican president, who issued the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863. And it was Republicans in Congress who pushed for abolition. Republicans believe in Freedom. Conversely, Washington State Democratic Party, Washington State Attorney General Nick Brown, and Gov. Bob Ferguson believe in big government and stripping away our God-given rights, while protecting criminal illegals by supporting sanctuary state policies that break federal immigration law.

“The only people that are enforcing immigration in the state of Washington are the federal government, and in fact, the state is taking active steps to make our job harder, and in many cases to make it impossible,” says First Assistant US Attorney Neil Floyd.

Sanctuary state policies, aided and abetted by Washington State Attorney General Nick Brown and Governor Bob Ferguson, are making it harder for the feds to keep Washingtonians safe from criminal illegals.

Despite a DUI, Washington state sanctuary policy protected an illegal immigrant until First Assistant US Attorney Neil Floyd built a felony case against the man for a massive drug ring.

"An appointed sheriff would do the bidding of the executive, so I don’t really know what’s positive there other than they’ll make sure that if there’s any illegal activity going on with the council or the executive, nobody will know about it," says Pierce County Sheriff Keith Swank. "They can help cover things up, I guess. For the most part, whenever you’re appointed by somebody, you have to do what they want you to do, or you’ll be without a job. That’s why the independence of the sheriff is so important.”
