🚒 Fruitvale...we’re making one FINAL push! ❤️

The Fruitvale Volunteer Fire Department’s Annual Stew & Carnival is coming up Saturday, October 17, and we’re still looking for a few more raffle donations!

Own a business? This is a great way to get your product or service in front of local families, possibly gain a new customer, AND support the men and women who drop what they’re doing when our community needs them.

Gift cards, services, products, baskets, experiences...we’d love them all!

👉 Want to donate? Comment below or message me and I’ll come pick it up!

We also have affordable sponsorship spots still available for businesses or families wanting a little extra exposure. Message me for details.

❤️ Let’s show our volunteer firefighters just how much this community has their backs!

Can’t donate? A SHARE helps too! 🚒

When you share, we listen! Our hearts are filled with love from our community! We signed up to serve YOU, our neighbors and we train to be ready for YOUR call. It is our mission to be here for our community and our families who all live here. Thank you for your donation but especially thank you for helping us move forward! Come join us! See how you can be apart of this public service with so many years of regular folks just like you coming together to be there for each other. Over half of our calls are medical. Half of those are non-traumatic falls. Come be apart of the hands that spread compassion for our elder neighbors. Not every call is as intense as a house fire or wreck. Though we do get a number of those throughout the year. Monthly member meeting is the second Thursday of each month at 6 PM - 5480 FM-858. We have a formal business meeting talking about all the projects and needs but we also have plenty of time to discuss the operation and how we need folks to fill all sorts of roles. We will never press someone to do something they can’t handle. If you have just a little time to donate, come see us. We also do accept donations at any time. We have a long list of projects we are working through right now to get knocked out and if you are skilled in any of the area we need help in, we can use the help right away! You also can message us here on Facebook, email us at [email protected], send us a text message or give us a ring at our main non-emergency line 903-484-4422. We love our little community and we love serving it. You might just find your place to serve is right here along side us. If you have read this far, thank you and have a great weekend!!

The Texas Fire Potential Update is posted at: https://link.edgepilot.com/x/GQy_HfxR3OqdTyPS9QEeM5w?u=https://bit.ly/TexasFirePotentialUpdate.
• Persistent triple-digit heat and a mostly dry pattern will continue through the weekend and into early next week. High initial attack potential will persist across East Texas because of critically dry surface fuel. Continued degradation of moisture in high-risk fuels (juniper/oak, pine timber) will support a high volume of fuel-driven fire occurrence and could exhibit moderate to high resistance to control.
• Texas A&M Forest Service responded to 100 fires state-wide in the last 7-days. Fire response has continued to increase over the month, driven by continued hot and dry conditions. August is the normal peak of statewide wildfire occurrence annualy due to summer drying and hot temperatures.

Burn bans are set at the county level by county judges or commissioners' courts based on local weather, vegetation and wildfire risk.

Texas A&M Forest Service passes along this information as a public service in an effort to lessen preventable fires. We do not establish or remove any burn bans.

Before conducting any outdoor burning, check with your county to see if restrictions are in place.
