Congratulations to B Shift for a Clinical Save award involving one of our residents! On June 27, 2026, the crews of 3617 and 3614 responded to a 911 call for a seizure that turned into a cardiac arrest. The crews worked quickly to perform critical life saving treatments on scene and transport. The crew was able to restore a pulse and get the patient to the emergency department. The patient was stabilized and then moved to the ICU. Great job to all team members!

We all had a blast at the 20th Annual NCNW Gateway Metropolitan Section Back to School Health and Public Safety Fair! There was a large turnout from our Berkeley residents and our neighbors. We were busy cooking, giving out school supplies, getting our faces painted, promoting local businesses, meeting the Police Department and Fire Department, running through the bounce house, and racing up the climbing wall! Thank you to all the volunteers and vendors that came out for the event. See you next year! 🚓🚒🚑

Picture 1 is Paramedic/Firefighter Zac Russell, picture 2 is Paramedic/Firefighter Charles Lawson, who has returned to the Fire Department after a 10 month hiatus, picture 3 is Paramedic/Firefighter Joe Lenoir, and picture 4 is Paramedic/Firefighter Zack Galloway. Our new members bring experience, good attitudes, and excellent patient care to the City of Berkeley and its neighbors. They are excited to serve their community!
