đźš” A Friendly Reminder from the Bethlehem Police Department đźš”

We appreciate Bethlehem residents keeping an eye out for our community and sharing information on Facebook. However, we want to remind everyone that our officers do not monitor Facebook 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you witness suspicious activity, a crime in progress, or any situation requiring a police response, please do not rely on a Facebook post to notify us. We may not see your post until hours—or even days—later.

While the Village of Bethlehem is small, our officers cannot be everywhere at once. The best way to ensure we are aware of an incident as it is happening is to contact the appropriate authorities immediately.

For emergencies, call 911.

For non-emergency police matters, contact Ohio County Dispatch at (304) 234-3606.

For general questions, ordinance complaints, or other non-urgent Village matters, please contact the Village Office at (304) 233-9527 Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Your reports and cooperation will help us respond quickly and effectively investigate crimes that occur. Thank you for your continued support as we work together to keep our community safe.

The Bethlehem Police Department is actively working to identify and address properties within the Village that may be in violation of local ordinances regarding high grass, accumulated garbage, and dilapidated structures.

Please understand that correcting these issues is not an overnight process. When a potential violation is identified, the property owner or property manager must first be contacted and given a reasonable timeframe to correct the issue. If the violation is not remedied within the allotted time, further enforcement action, including the issuance of fines, may be taken.

We appreciate the assistance of our residents in helping keep our community safe, clean, and well-maintained. If you are aware of a property that may need to be inspected, please contact the Village Office at 304-233-9527 with the address and any relevant information.

All complaints will be reviewed and investigated as appropriate. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation as we work together to improve our community

If you locate any footage or have any information, please contact the Bethlehem Police Department at 304-233-9527 so we may follow up on the investigation.
