Women Veterans — There’s Still Time to Join Us This Saturday!

This Saturday, June 6, we will be hosting our Women Veterans Luncheon at Billerica Town Hall, and we would love to have you join us.

This special event is dedicated to honoring and celebrating the women who have served our nation. It will be an afternoon of camaraderie, recognition, great conversation, and connecting with fellow women veterans from across the community.

Whether you served recently or many years ago, your service matters, your story matters, and we would be honored to have you with us.

Due to the expected rain, the Billerica Memorial Day Ceremony scheduled for 12:00 PM has been moved indoors to Billerica Town Hall.

While the location may change, our purpose does not.

This Memorial Day, we will still come together as a community to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Roses of Honor at Fox Hill Cemetery is still expected to take place the same day, weather permitting, as long as the rain is not coming down hard.

We thank everyone for their understanding and continued support as we pause to remember those who gave everything for our freedom.

We remember.
We honor.
We never forget.

This Memorial Day, while there will not be a parade in Billerica, the Billerica Honor Platoon has worked to create meaningful opportunities for the community to come together in remembrance and honor of our fallen heroes.

In lieu of a parade, we invite the community to take part in our Roses of Honor tribute at Fox Hill Cemetery.

Much like Wreaths Across America, this program is built around remembrance, reflection, and honoring those who gave their lives in service to our nation. Instead of wreaths, roses will be placed by hand at the graves of our fallen veterans—each one representing a life remembered, a sacrifice honored, and a story that will never be forgotten.

Following the placement of roses, attendees will gather for a Procession of Honor led by the Billerica Police Department to the Memorial Day Ceremony.

Memorial Day Graveside Services

On Sunday, May 24, our community will come together to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the United States of America.

As we approach the 250th anniversary of our nation, we pause to reflect on the generations of Americans who stood in defense of freedom — from the earliest days of the Revolutionary War to the service members of today.

Please join us for Memorial Day Graveside Services beginning at 10:00 AM at VFW Eggo Post located at 775 Boston Road.

From there, we will visit the following locations:

• Korean War Memorial
• Concord Road Cemetery
• Vietnam Veterans Park
• VFW Solomon Park
• Burying Ground
• Old North Cemetery
• Fox Hill Cemetery

These ceremonies serve as a reminder that freedom has never been free, and that the sacrifices of our fallen heroes will never be forgotten.

We encourage all members of the community to attend and help us honor those who gave everything for our country.

This Memorial Day, we come together not just to remember… but to honor the lives behind the names.

Men and women who once stood where we stand today—who had families, dreams, and futures—and gave everything in service to our country.

Throughout the weekend, our community will gather to decorate their graves, stand in quiet reflection at our war memorials in town, place roses in their memory, and come together for our Memorial Day Ceremony.

These moments matter.

Because remembrance is not something we say—it’s something we do.

Whether you attend one event or all of them, we invite you to be part of this. To pause - To reflect - To remember.

Because as long as we continue to show up… they are never forgotten.

Join us this Monday, May 4, for C.H.O.W. — Community Honoring Our Warriors at 99 Restaurant.

Stop in for lunch or dinner and connect with fellow veterans in a relaxed, welcoming environment. This is what C.H.O.W. is all about — camaraderie, conversation, and community.

A special veteran menu is available all day, and veterans can also use their standard discount in addition to the menu pricing.

All veterans are welcome — come on your own or bring a friend, family member, or fellow veteran. If you’re planning to attend as a group, please call ahead to help the restaurant prepare.

We’ll be there for lunch — hope to see you there!

May is National Military Appreciation Month

Throughout the month of May, we pause to recognize and honor the brave men and women who have served—and continue to serve—our nation in uniform.

From those currently deployed around the world, to the veterans who live right here in our community, your service, sacrifice, and dedication do not go unnoticed.

This month includes meaningful observances such as Loyalty Day (May 1st), Military Spouse Appreciation Day, Armed Forces Day, and Memorial Day—each a reminder of the strength, resilience, and commitment of our military families and those who stand beside them.

Here in Billerica, we are proud to serve and support our veterans every day. We encourage our community to take a moment this month to:

* Thank a veteran or service member
* Support a local veteran-owned business
* Attend a local event or ceremony
* Reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of their service

To all who have worn the uniform—and to the families who stand behind them—thank you for your service and sacrifice.
